The Department of Automobile Engineering of Zhoukou Vocational College of Science and Technology is one of the key demonstration departments supported by national demonstration colleges. Founded in 1995, with the joint efforts of all teachers, students and college leaders, it has reached a certain scale. There are more than 900 students in the Department of Automobile Engineering, and there are two majors: "Automobile Inspection and Maintenance" and "Automobile Technical Service and Marketing". Among them, the major of "Automobile Inspection and Maintenance" is a national engineering major for training skilled talents. The Department of Automotive Engineering has a strong faculty, including 25 full-time teachers, associate professors 1 person, more than 40% engineers and senior engineers, and 7 professional trainees. It has excellent training conditions, more than 40 electronically controlled engines and automatic transmissions for students to practice, more than 30 vehicles, 4 on-campus practice sites, 4 teaching laboratories, 2 driving simulation training rooms, as well as advanced decoders and advanced imported cars. In addition, there are dozens of off-campus practice points (An Wei Chery, zhengzhou yutong, Shaanxi Heavy Duty Truck, Shenyang Brilliance, BAIC Group). The graduates of this department are mainly employed by well-known enterprises such as Chery Automobile Factory, Geely Automobile Factory, Jianghuai Automobile Group, Beijing Automobile Group and Shaanxi Heavy Duty Truck. The employment rate and satisfaction rate of students are as high as 98.7%.

I. Major in Automobile Inspection and Maintenance (three years)

Training objective: This major trains compound high-skilled talents who can use modern scientific and technological means to engage in advanced engineering technology such as automobile application, inspection and maintenance, and enterprise technology or management such as automobile parts, design, manufacturing, assembly, automobile whole vehicle and parts trade, automobile marketing and maintenance.

Curriculum: mechanical drawing, mechanical design, automotive engineering materials, automotive engine construction and maintenance, automotive chassis construction and maintenance, automotive electrical equipment, automotive electronic control technology, automotive performance and use, automotive construction, automotive inspection and fault diagnosis, automotive professional English, etc.

3. Employment direction: Mainly engaged in automobile inspection, maintenance, quality inspection and vehicle identification in automobile manufacturing industry, automobile maintenance-related enterprises, automobile production and sales enterprises, vehicle management, vehicle insurance and other departments, or engaged in the management of 4S shops.

Two, automobile technical service and marketing major (three years)

1. Training objective: This major cultivates talents who love the motherland, have good professional ethics and professionalism, develop morally, intellectually, physically, aesthetically and laboriously, meet the needs of the development of socialist market economy, are full of pioneering spirit of the times, and are enthusiastic about automobile marketing, service, maintenance, automobile performance analysis, automobile evaluation, second-hand car trading and sales market research, etc.

Specialized courses: engine structure, automobile construction and maintenance technology, automobile detection technology, modern automobile diagnosis technology, automobile maintenance, automobile engine electronic control system structure and fault diagnosis, automobile marketing, used car value evaluation, automobile parts sales, e-commerce, economics foundation, automobile marketing technology, accounting foundation, enterprise management and technology, economic marketing, automobile application, automobile English, etc.

3. Employment destination: engaged in automobile marketing, service, maintenance, automobile evaluation, used car trading, sales market research and analysis, automobile driving, 4S shops and automobile enterprises to do sales services.

4. Certificates that can be obtained during school: university graduation certificate, automobile mechanic professional qualification certificate, driver's license, automobile salesman certificate, computer grade certificate, English grade qualification certificate, AUTOCAD certificate and other related documents. According to the market demand and the needs of regional economic development, the school has determined the construction ideas of key majors, and issued documents such as the Construction Plan of Zhoukou Vocational College of Science and Technology and the Implementation Plan of Zhoukou Vocational College of Science and Technology. The applied electronic technology specialty is a provincial specialty approved by the Provincial Department of Education, and four specialties, such as mechatronics specialty, computer application technology specialty, nursing specialty and automobile inspection and maintenance specialty, are characteristic specialties approved by the college. "Automobile Inspection and Maintenance Specialty" and "Nursing Specialty" are also brand majors of provincial private universities.
