I went to see the movie alone last night, and there weren't really many viewers in the whole theater. The plot of the movie was very touching, at least it touched me, but of course I can't rule out the fact that I have a low tear point, and I used two tissues during the whole movie. After watching the movie, I had the urge to write something, but I don't know how to write a movie review, so I'll just write an afterthought.
"Through the winter to embrace you" This movie is based on the background of the new crown epidemic in Wuhan, which tells the story of Wuhan from the discovery of the epidemic to the process of sealing off the city to fight against the epidemic and finally unsealing, the different social groups in the epidemic under the state of life. Huang Bo as Yong, the small boss of a courier company; Jia Ling as Wu, a courier; Gao Yalin and Xu Fan as a middle-aged couple; Zhou Dongyu as Xiaoxiao, a trainee nurse; Xie Lao, a retired obstetrician/gynecologist and Master Pei, a Cantonese chef; and Zhu Yilong as Ye Ziyan, a piano teacher, are the key portrayals of the film. The sense of reality and immersion is strong, and it's for this reason that it's particularly tear-jerking.
Huang Bo played Yong is a man with a chivalrous heart, in the eyes of the onlookers, he often do some beyond their ability to do righteous deeds, so often after marriage can not take care of their own small family, but also for this guilt but in the face of the needs of the community is still unshirkable. His wife, while complaining about her husband's lack of skill, silently supported his choice with her actions. After the outbreak of the epidemic, Yong responded quickly, issued leaflets on his own initiative, ignored the disdain and ridicule of others, organized volunteer teams, set up a volunteer service group, free transportation for medical personnel, hospitals to transport anti-epidemic materials, and so on. For several months he did not enter his home once, and even did not come home for dinner on New Year's Eve. When he learned through WeChat with his son that his wife had not eaten New Year's Eve dinner because of his anger, the expression of helplessness and pain on his face touched people's hearts. Every time he goes home, he quietly puts his supplies in front of his house, knocks on the door and sneaks out. His wife knows that this is to protect them both mother and son, she expected her husband to do volunteers every day running around, shoes early bad, so bought a pair of shoes that her husband could not afford to buy, this move made Yong tears on the spot.
Jia Ling played Wu as his name, is a proper woman. She is a colleague of Yong's and a member of the volunteer team. She is kind and funny, but her marriage is not happy, divorced, with a daughter following her grandmother. She saved Mr. Ye's life from brain cancer by carrying him to four hospitals when she was a rider delivering medicine to Mr. Ye, who was teaching a piano course on video, and fainted. Mr. Ye is quite talented, can write poems and lyrics, refined, but suffers from brain cancer, and Wu is the same divorcee. Afterwards, one to two, WeChat interaction, but slowly have a CP sense. Here I think there is a biggest groove, when Mr. Ye fainted the moment, life-threatening, in accordance with common sense should be the first time to call an ambulance, and the picture shows Wu riding a battery car rushed out of the Ye teacher's neighborhood, and later the picture shows her carrying Mr. Ye bounced around four hospitals, and ultimately saved. Personally, I feel it may be an editing error. Mr. Ye later suffered a relapse of brain disease and was unable to be rescued, he donated his organs to five people in need, and in another way existed in the world, showing great love. At this moment, the screen, his students **** with singing the songs created by Mr. Ye to express their deep condolences. Wu also seems to see the backpack far away from Mr. Ye ......
Gao Yalin and Xu Fan play a middle-aged couple with wealthy families and successful careers, opening a chain of supermarkets and a travel agency. But they are so conflicted that they don't even sleep in the same bed. Because of the epidemic, their long-time good friend infected with Xin Guan suddenly passes away, giving them a new sense of life. Money is no longer the most important thing to them, they donated the supplies in the supermarket, and his wife even had a pregnancy and became a senior pregnant woman. In the drama, they directed to donate the supplies to the obstetrics and gynecology department is also in line with human nature, not everyone is as selfless as Brother Yong. The movie is also a great opportunity to see how the world is going to be able to make a difference in the lives of the people who live in the world.
Zhou Dongyu plays the role of intern nurse Xiaoxiao, who is also a food blogger. Optimistic and cheerful, the most troublesome thing is probably how to eat can not get fat. Because of a pickup, and Wu met and get along well, Wu enthusiastically drove her to eat her longing for beanskin, she encouraged Wu to take the initiative to pursue love, and sent Wu a lipstick. Under the epidemic, healthcare workers have become a high-risk group, and the long hours of high workload are reflected in the nurse Xiaoxiao, who works for three days in a row and has bruises on her face from wearing a mask for a long time. One day, Wu received an order, she went to an advertising print store to pick up the pieces, and found that it was the remains of Xiaoxiao, a young nurse whom she had met only a short time before. She was so young and loved life so much, and when she said no, she was gone, suddenly and unexpectedly poking the tears.
Dr. Xie was widowed at an early age and raised her daughter alone, giving up the opportunity to return to work to take care of her daughter's family, but she lost her daughter in her old age and lived with her son-in-law and grandchildren. She befriended a single Cantonese chef, the restaurant owner, Mr. Pei, and the two old people chatted and talked about "twilight love". Dr. Xie is infected with a new coronary at his post and is in critical condition, but he relies on the video encouragement sent by Mr. Pei to pull through and eventually recovers and enjoys his old age with Mr. Pei.
There's one thing that makes this movie special, and that's that these characters exist almost independently of each other, but at certain points in the movie they are intentionally linked together in a way that they have never met before, and yet they are related. On a rainy night, a middle-aged couple, played by Gao Yalin and Xu Fan, drive across a bridge and see Wu riding a motorcycle in the rain, full of joy; Dr. Xie, on his way to work, sees a middle-aged couple embracing and crying on the bridge, and is touched by the sight of the couple and agrees to Mr. Pei's proposal of marriage.
At the end of the movie, Wuhan is unsealed, traffic is restored, the sun rises, and life returns to normal. The film's main themes are:
Yong finally returns home, touching his sleeping son and embracing his sleeping wife; Wu arrives at the Parrot Bridge, where she met Mr. Ye, whose figure seems to have appeared in her vision; Master Pei rides his bicycle with Mr. Xie, laughing along the way; and the middle-aged couple video the daughter in New Zealand, learning that the daughter is doing well and is about to give birth. The movie "writes small in a big way and sees the big in a small way", portrays the characters of different families under the epidemic, and expresses people's deep understanding of life and death, friendship, love and the value of life. People's destinies are very different, but the diligent pursuit of a better life and the unyielding struggle to overcome the disaster are the same. There is love in the world, and there is love in China!
