I went to see the movie alone last night, and there weren't really many viewers in the whole theater. The plot of the movie was very touching, at least it touched me, but of course I can't rule out the fact that I have a low tear point, and I used two tissues during the whole movie. After watching the movie, I had the urge to write something, but I don't know how to write a movie review, so I'll just write an afterthought.

"Through the winter to embrace you" This movie is based on the background of the new crown epidemic in Wuhan, which tells the story of Wuhan from the discovery of the epidemic to the process of sealing off the city to fight against the epidemic and finally unsealing, the different social groups in the epidemic under the state of life. Huang Bo as Yong, the small boss of a courier company; Jia Ling as Wu, a courier; Gao Yalin and Xu Fan as a middle-aged couple; Zhou Dongyu as Xiaoxiao, a trainee nurse; Xie Lao, a retired obstetrician/gynecologist and Master Pei, a Cantonese chef; and Zhu Yilong as Ye Ziyan, a piano teacher, are the key portrayals of the film. The sense of reality and immersion is strong, and it's for this reason that it's particularly tear-jerking.

Huang Bo played Yong is a man with a chivalrous heart, in the eyes of the onlookers, he often do some beyond their ability to do righteous deeds, so often after marriage can not take care of their own small family, but also for this guilt but in the face of the needs of the community is still unshirkable. His wife, while complaining about her husband's lack of skill, silently supported his choice with her actions. After the outbreak of the epidemic, Yong responded quickly, issued leaflets on his own initiative, ignored the disdain and ridicule of others, organized volunteer teams, set up a volunteer service group, free transportation for medical personnel, hospitals to transport anti-epidemic materials, and so on. Jia Ling played Wu as his name, is a proper woman. She is a colleague of Yong's and a member of the volunteer team. She is kind and funny, but her marriage is not happy, divorced, with a daughter following her grandmother. She saved Mr. Ye's life from brain cancer by carrying him to four hospitals when she was a rider delivering medicine to Mr. Ye, who was teaching a piano course on video, and fainted. Zhou Dongyu plays the role of intern nurse Xiaoxiao, who is also a food blogger. Optimistic and cheerful, the most troublesome thing is probably how to eat can not get fat. Dr. Xie was widowed at an early age and raised her daughter alone, giving up the opportunity to return to work to take care of her daughter's family, but she lost her daughter in her old age and lived with her son-in-law and grandchildren. She befriended a single Cantonese chef, the restaurant owner, Mr. Pei, and the two old people chatted and talked about "twilight love". Dr. Xie is infected with a new coronary at his post and is in critical condition, but he relies on the video encouragement sent by Mr. Pei to pull through and eventually recovers and enjoys his old age with Mr. Pei.

There's one thing that makes this movie special, and that's that these characters exist almost independently of each other, but at certain points in the movie they are intentionally linked together in a way that they have never met before, and yet they are related. On a rainy night, a middle-aged couple, played by Gao Yalin and Xu Fan, drive across a bridge and see Wu riding a motorcycle in the rain, full of joy; Dr. Xie, on his way to work, sees a middle-aged couple embracing and crying on the bridge, and is touched by the sight of the couple and agrees to Mr. Pei's proposal of marriage.

At the end of the movie, Wuhan is unsealed, traffic is restored, the sun rises, and life returns to normal. The film's main themes are:

The movie "writes small in a big way and sees the big in a small way", portrays the characters of different families under the epidemic, and expresses people's deep understanding of life and death, friendship, love and the value of life. People's destinies are very different, but the diligent pursuit of a better life and the unyielding struggle to overcome the disaster are the same. There is love in the world, and there is love in China!
