Hejiang County is located at the junction of Sichuan, Chongqing and Guizhou, on the southern edge of Sichuan Basin. The geographical location is unique, bordering Jiangyang District, Naxi District and Lu Xian County in the west, jiangjin district City in Chongqing in the east, Yongchuan District in the north and Chishui City and Xishui County in Guizhou Province in the south. Hejiang County is not only rich in natural resources, such as the golden waterways of the Yangtze River and Chishui River, but also has two expressway rivers, namely Yuhe Luchi, which run through the whole territory.

Hejiang County is also famous for its rich tourism resources, including national forest park, provincial scenic spots, Fu Bao tourist area, and famous historical and cultural towns in China, such as Fu Bao ancient town and Yaoba ancient town. In 2022, Hejiang County achieved a regional GDP of 30.23 billion yuan, with a strong economic development momentum. Hejiang County, as an important part of Luzhou City, plays an important role in economy, culture and tourism.
