AE seafood dynamic illustration effect tutorials:
Step01New document
Open AdobeIllustrator, click File-> New (shortcut key Ctrl + N) to create a new file, the parameters are set as follows:
Step02 New Background
2.1 Find AI's Layers panel, double-click on the layer name, change the name to "Background", use the "Rectangle Tool" (shortcut key M) to draw a rectangle on the drawing board with the board as large as. It doesn't matter if it's a little bit over the canvas like mine. When you export, check the box to use the drawing board, so the outside of the canvas won't be exported.
Fill color: #FFE5C2 Stroke: none
2.2 Select the background layer, click on the grid next to the eyes, a small lock icon will appear, lock the background layer to prevent movement. At the same time, pay attention to develop a good habit of doing the map, each subsequent graphic drawing is completed, remember to change the name of the layer as in the figure, otherwise it will give the subsequent dynamic effects to make it more difficult.
Step03 draw the noodle bowl
3.1 First of all, analyze the composition of the bowl, divided into the outer and inner, taking into account the need to put food between the outer and inner, so we use two layers to draw separately.
New the first layer, name the layer "Inside the Bowl" and place the layer on top of the "Background" layer, so that the shapes drawn next, will all be on top of the background layer.
Note: The subsequent drawing of the shape without special instructions, the stroke size is set to 3 pt, the stroke color is set to 772424.
3.2 Select the "Bowl" layer, use the ellipse tool (shortcut key L), draw a circle, the width of 305px, the height of 108px, the fill color for the # 9B4729, after the completion of the following chart:
3.3 In the "bowl" layer on top of the new layer, named "outside the bowl", select the layer and use the ellipse tool to draw a circle, the width of 305px, the height of 320px, fill color #CE4C28.
Use the rectangle tool in the circle above the rectangle to cover half of it, and use the Selection Tool (shortcut V, commonly known as the small black) frame the two shapes, choose the Shape Builder tool, select a shape, then use the Shape Builder tool to select the two shapes, then use the Shape Builder tool to select the two shapes, then use the Shape Builder tool to select the two shapes. both shapes, select the Shape Builder tool, hold down the Alt key, and cut out the blue part, leaving the semicircular bowl.
3.4 Next you can fine-tune the shape of the bowl to make it to your liking. For example, if I wanted a fatter bowl, I could use the Direct Selection Tool (shortcut A, commonly known as White) to tap the bottom anchor point and drag the handles on either side to change the volume of the bowl.
3.5 The last thing is the decoration on the body of the bowl, for example, if I want a bowl with a base and a banded pattern, then I can use the Shape Builder, copy two ovals inside the bowl, hold down Alt to cut out the blue part, and then change the fill color to #FFC05A.
The bottom part of the bowl directly draw a suitable size of the ellipse, fill color #FFC05A, and then put all the parts together to get a small bowl!
Check your layers again to make sure that there is only one ellipse inside the bowl, and that all the other shapes are in the "Outside Bowl" layer, and lock these two layers to avoid "accidental damage".
Step04Drawing Noodles
4.1The noodles in the bowl are in the form of dough. Create a new layer named Dough 1 and make sure it's in the middle of Outside Bowl and Inside Bowl.
Use the ellipse tool to create a new width of 134px, height of 134px square circle, fill color #FFC05A. with a small black select the circle and click on the upper menu bar of the object - & gt; Path - & gt; Offset Path, the displacement is set to -15px, and repeat three times, you will get a set of concentric circles.
We can also change the fill color of every other circle to #FFE5C2 to add richness to the color of the noodles.
4.2 Make a few more copies of the dough and stack them in the bowl, you can change the color, position, size, etc. to your liking, note: each dough needs to be on a separate layer.
Step05Painting other ingredients
This part of the ingredients can be painted according to your preferences, such as vegetables, preserved meat, etc., here to provide a few kinds of ingredients painting ideas, painting you can arbitrarily add or subtract the number of items and the position of the placement.
5.1 Egg
Use the ellipse tool to draw an ellipse, use the white drag the handle of the anchor point to change the shape of the ellipse, so that it shows the upper end of the tip, the lower end of the effect of the width, and then use the small black to adjust the angle of inclination, in the appropriate location to draw a square circle as the yolk, and finally use the pen tool to connect the head and tail of the egg, and adjust the appropriate arc.
5.2 Seaweed
Use the Rectangle tool to draw a rectangle, fill the color #8E8459, select Effect-> Distort and Transform-> Ripple effect, the parameters are for reference only.
Next just flatten the ends. If you draw rectangles directly on the ends and then use the Shape Builder, you'll notice Huh? How come there is no change? Don't worry, just select the piece of seaweed, click Object ->Extend Appearance, and then use the Shape Builder and everything will be fine!
5.3 shrimp
Shrimp looks more complicated, but analyze carefully, the head of the shrimp is an ellipse, shrimp body can be drawn in a large and small two ellipses, the use of Shape Builder to remove the small ellipse, you can get a section of the arc, and then use the rectangle + Shape Builder out of the half of the truncation, the use of white fine-tuning shape can be. The arc on the shrimp can be drawn with a pen, and the tail of the shrimp is also a trapezoid drawn with a pen.
The only thing we need to pay attention to is how to draw the tail, which is a thick line with a pointy top and a thick bottom.
We can use the pen to draw three line segments first, click Stroke - > Profile, select the width profile 5 can be. The excess if you want to cut off, remember to also extend the appearance of these three lines yo ~
5.4 Fish Plate
Use the ellipse tool to draw a circle, fill the color #FFD8C5, no stroke, and select Effect-> Distort and Transform-> Ripple Effect to make a jagged, the value is only for reference.
In the middle of the graphic use the brush tool to draw a spiral shape at random. Use the little black box to select the two shapes and right-click to group them.
Selected graphics and select Effect - & gt; 3D - & gt; protruding and beveled, the parameters are as follows. Extend the appearance of the fish plate and then right-click to cancel the grouping twice, you can separate the pattern, feel free to color and stroke.
Step06 Organize the ingredients in the noodle bowl
Draw all the ingredients and place them in a good position, you can add some rectangular green onion at the top, the fill color of green onion is #8AAA65.
Use the small black overall frame of the noodle bowl and the ingredients (remember to unlock the food if it is locked up before), and adjust the tilt angle, so that the bowl looks more dynamic.
And create a new layer named "Shadow", draw an oval shape underneath the noodle bowl, fill the color with #E29540, and no tracing, so that the bowl looks like it's floating in the air.
Step07Draw Chopsticks
Use the Rectangle tool to draw a rectangle with a width of 360px and a height of 19px, fill with the color #CE4C28, and adjust the chopsticks with the color #CE4C28 so that the chopsticks look big at one end and small at the other.
Use the White tool to pull the white dots on the edge of the graphic to make the chopsticks rounded at both ends. Next, you can add decorations to the chopsticks to your liking.
I added a small yellow arc, just as I did with the noodle bowl. Make a copy of the chopsticks and use Black to adjust the angle and size of the chopsticks in the right place.
Step08Drawing the Picked-Up Noodles
Use the Rectangle tool to draw a vertical rectangle and use Blackie to pull the small white dots on the side of the graphic, adjust the ends to a rounded arc, and fill in the color to your liking. Note that the color stays consistent with the dough in the bowl, yo ~
Finally check over the layers here, see if each thing you want to make it move, make a separate layer? If there are mixed together, quickly create a new layer, then Ctrl+X cut, note! Don't use Ctrl+V to paste, because the position will change, use Ctrl+F to paste, you can paste in the new layer to the original position.
Ae animation production tutorialStep01 import AI files
1.1 Click File-> Import-> File, select the AI file just completed. Import as choose: compositing - keep the size of the material (secret: two short and one long choose the longest!) , and check Create Composite.
1.2 Double click on the composite here, and all the layers you've drawn in AI will be displayed below, so know how important it is to name your layers well!
Step02 Food in bowl motion effect
2.1 Before doing this you need to conceptualize how we want the food to move? The dough is a square circle, so it can only emerge from the bowl from small to large, the other food can fall from the air to the surface one after another, and then finally a pair of chopsticks appear to pick up the noodles.
The idea is complete! So let's start with the dough~
2.2 Scaling the Dough
Select any layer on which the dough is located and hit the shortcut S. Zooming will appear. Clicking more forward in the timeline panel makes the blue line change position. Clicking on the stopwatch in front of the zoom keyframes the position of the blue line on the right and adjusts the zoom value to 0%. When we subsequently make value adjustments at other locations, AE will automatically complement the animation in this middle section.
Because I want the dough to have the effect of getting bigger and then shrinking back down to its normal size, which will make it look more poppy ~ so we drag the blue line to anywhere behind the timeline, adjust the zoom value to 110%, and then move the blue line a little bit backward and adjust the value to 100%.
Next you can click on the space to see the effect of a good job, you will find that there is a little hard, so we box three keyframes, right-click - & gt; Keyframe Assist - & gt; Jogging, and now look at it, you will find that the dynamic effect of a lot of natural.
Copy these three keyframes and paste the same effect on the other three doughs, and pay attention to the position of the blue line when pasting, so that the four doughs come out at different times, and the end of the last dough effect before 1s, otherwise the food will not be able to fall in time!
2.3 Positioning of other food items
All other food items fall from the air, so the effect used is position. Select the layer of the item you want to move (take the onion as an example), click on the shortcut key P, place the blue line anywhere after 1s, and click on the stopwatch in front of the position to hit the keyframe, the mouse drags the onion or clicks on the second number in the position to drag left and right until the onion reaches the top of the layer. Then place the blue line at the time you want the onion flower to fall down, mouse drag the onion flower or point the second number in the location of the left and right drag until the onion flower reaches the position you want.
Still you can add a jogging effect to the keyframes and copy it to the other food you want him to fall down, adjusting the position back and forth so that they are staggered in time and fall separately.
Additionally, we can turn on motion blur for falling items so that the items will have more of a falling feel when they land~
2.4 Detail Adjustments
It would be a little weird to have all the items fall straight down, so we can choose some larger items to adjust in detail, such as the egg and the shrimp, which can be dropped and then bounced upward a bit, and then slightly wiggle a bit, it would be more realistic.
Here we take the shrimp on the side of the bowl as an example to learn a new effect - rotation (shortcut key R).
Because this time we need the shrimp to pop up and then rotate, you can click on the little triangle to the left of the layer name - > Transform to see all the basic effects.
The position effect is still the same as the previous zoom, we can be a little in front of the final position, make a position a little bit down the keyframe, and add jogging, so that there is the feeling of upward bombing ~
Since the upward bombing needs to be snapped to the edge of the bowl, so we are in the position of the last keyframe of the same position, click the stopwatch in front of the rotation, to hit the keyframes on the rotating keyframes. But there's a new problem at this point, which is that the shrimp can only rotate in place, and doesn't flip over to the side of the bowl like I want it to. This is because the system's default item anchor point is in the middle position, we need to adjust the anchor position, the shrimp can be centered on the new anchor point to rotate, use the toolbar's backward translation (anchor) tool (shortcut key Y), you can drag the anchor point.
A new problem arises at this point! Is that the anchor point changes, the previous location of the effect also changed with the new anchor point, we have two ways to solve ~ one is to manually adjust the position of a few keyframes again; the other is the first Ctrl + Z withdrawn to move the anchor point before moving the blue line to the position of the last keyframe at the last keyframes, select the bowl of shrimp this layer, Ctrl + Shift + D, will be truncated to the original layer to create a new Ctrl+Shift+D will truncate the original layer and create a new one, so that if we adjust the anchor position in the new layer, it won't affect the previous effect
Next, we just need to adjust the angle of the back of the rotation, so that the shrimp can flip to the angle we need~Don't forget to add jogging and motion blur~
Step03Layering the animation
Before doing the chopstick picking up the noodles, let's analyze the relationship between so many layers. Before we do the chopsticks picking up the noodles, let's analyze the relationship between so many layers and group them together.
Group 1: all the food in front of the chopsticks, including the dough, the fish plate, etc., which will block the chopsticks and make it look like the chopsticks are sticking out of the bowl;
Group 2: the chopsticks and the picked up noodles, which are almost acting together;
Group 3: the items behind the chopsticks, which are synthesized into a whole bowl with the items in the first part, so the This part should include the seaweed behind the chopsticks and the dark red oval inside the bowl.
The next step in our analysis is to create pre-composites of the different parts, which can be interpreted as packing them into a group, so that if effects are done on this group, all the items in the group will have the corresponding effects, and their own effects will be preserved as well.
3.1Making a pre-composite
Hold down Ctrl and select the group we want to pack respectively, right-click -> pre-composite can be right-click -> pre-composite, you can give the pre-composite as needed to change the name ~ the shadows do not need to be grouped, the grouping of the other layers is shown in the figure below:
3.2Because I made my bowl to float, I want the bowl to be floating up and down slightly in the air, and the shadows below will change with it. The shadows underneath will be bigger and smaller as well~ So the layers involved are chopsticks front (pre-composition 1) + chopsticks back (pre-composition 2) + shadows, chopsticks front and back add positional effect, shadows add scaling effect, I believe you can do it according to the previous tutorials~
Maybe some people are a little bit strange, why is the value of my effect in red? Here to mention a new point of knowledge - expression. We can understand expression as a simple line of code to help us reach some repetitive work.
For example, at this point, the bowl floating effect and shadow scaling is throughout the entire motion picture, if we go one by one keyframes to hit may be a bit cumbersome, so you can use a simple loop expression. Before using it, you need to simply calculate the number of seconds that the motion picture lasts needs to be a multiple of the number of seconds of all the keyframes that are repeated ~ as an example, in the figure I set up three keyframes, respectively, up, down, up, and they a **** lasts for 3 seconds, then my whole motion picture needs to be 6 seconds, 9 seconds, etc., the loop is the correct effect, otherwise it may loop halfway through the change of position.
So now we have two problems: 1. how to set the loop expression; 2. how to set the number of seconds the motion picture lasts.
First, let's solve the first one, the loop expression needs to be set after we finish the three keyframes, hold down Alt and click on the stopwatch in front of the effect, and then click on the right side of the small triangle ->Property->loopOut(type="cycle",numKeyframes=0), so that the loop expression will be added to a good ~~.
Now to solve the second problem, you just need to drag the blue box in the picture to the number of seconds you want to set the duration of the motion picture~
Step04 Make chopsticks to pick up the noodle animation
4.1 Chopsticks animation
This is the part where we can flexibly utilize the knowledge we have acquired before, and in the process of making chopsticks, we will surely involve changes in position and angle. involves a change in position and angle, then open the position of the two chopsticks, select the keyframe, drag to adjust can be, the route is for reference only.
4.2 Noodle animation
The noodles only need to follow the chopsticks to pick up the process of upward movement, because the chopsticks in the middle of the angle of rotation may be involved, so the position of the noodle movement needs to be adjusted accordingly, the route offensive reference.
4.3 Overall effects
After picking up the noodle, I want to have an effect of picking the noodle up and down, so I'll just give the chopsticks (presynthesized 2) a down-up-down positional effect, so that the chopsticks and the noodle in the presynthesized version will be picked up and down together.
4.4 Orbital Masking
We're almost done here, but we've found another problem: in the first half of the noodle picking process, the noodles are leaking out of the bowl!
At this point we just need to add an orbital mask to the Chopsticks (Precomposition 2) layer, and after adding it, the layer will only be visible where there is a mask.
Use the Rectangle tool (shortcut Q) to draw a rectangle on the screen, taking care that the top of the rectangle exceeds the height of the tallest chopsticks and the bottom is in the middle of the bowl.
Click on the TrkMat of the chopsticks (pre-composition 2) layer, select the Alpha Mask "Shape Layer 1", press space and play it, you will find that the noodles have just been exposed because they are not in the mask, they are gone.
