After being bombed during the war, Mr. Henry Fok donated funds to rebuild the Nansha Tin Hau Temple at the end of the last century, which is the largest A-Ma Temple in Southeast Asia and is known as the 'First Queen of the World'.
The Nansha Tin Hau Temple complex is located at the southern foot of Dajiao Mountain. Its overall architectural style is a blend of Beijing's Forbidden City and Nanjing's Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, attracting many architecture enthusiasts to visit. The whole palace is located by the mountain and by the sea, with a grand scale and majestic atmosphere. Tin Hau Palace, located in the subtropical monsoon climate zone, has average temperatures in all seasons, lush vegetation and blooming flowers. In the distance is the majestic Nanling Pagoda, and with a lowered head you can see the unique Little Mountain Pavilion. The serene beauty of the area has made countless tourists linger.
Tian Hau Kung Statue, located in the center of Tian Hau Kung Square, is the iconic landscape of Nansha Tian Hau Kung. It was carved by outstanding craftsmen. The statue is 14.5 meters high, but the kindness and immortality of this magnificent sculpture can be felt from the front, back, left and right angles.
The Tin Hau of Hau Kung is actually Mazu. A-Ma is the goddess of the sea and the most famous fairy in the world. In addition to A-Ma, Tin Hau and Heavenly Princess of Our Lady of Heaven, the culture of A-Ma is widely spread in the offshore areas, and the residents who depend on the sea for their livelihood expect A-Ma to bless them with peace and success.
