In 2009, in the face of the severe impact of the international financial crisis, the people of the city, under the correct leadership of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, adhered to the scientific outlook on development as the overarching principle, unswervingly implemented the series of measures taken by the central government and the province to cope with the crisis, actively implemented the Outline of the Plan for the Reform and Development of the Pearl River Delta (2008-2020), and vigorously promoted the "two transformations and one reengineering" in accordance with the requirements of "three promotion and one maintenance". The Outline of the Pearl River Delta Regional Reform and Development Plan (2008-2020)", in accordance with the "three to promote and maintain" requirements, and vigorously promote the "two transformations and a re-engineering", the city's national economy has maintained a steady and rapid growth, and various social undertakings have made new progress.
One, the synthesis
Preliminary accounting, the city's gross domestic product in 2009, 481.450 billion yuan, an increase of 13.5% over the previous year. The added value of the primary industry was 9.555 billion yuan, an increase of 4.1%; the added value of the secondary industry was 302.896 billion yuan, an increase of 12.4%; the added value of the tertiary industry was 168.999 billion yuan, an increase of 16.1%. In the tertiary industry, transportation, warehousing and postal services grew by 8.9%, wholesale and retail trade grew by 21.1%, accommodation and catering industry grew by 15.3%, financial industry grew by 23.4%, real estate industry grew by 27.7%, and other service industry grew by 9.8%. The proportion of the three industries was 2.0%, 62.9% and 35.1% respectively. Per capita GDP was 80,579 yuan, up 12.8 percent.
The total level of consumer prices for the year was 1.6% lower than the previous year. Among them, the price of consumer goods decreased by 1.4%, and the price of services decreased by 2.4%. By category, tobacco, alcohol and supplies rose by 1.6%, health care and personal goods rose by 1.4%, food rose by 0.1%, household equipment and maintenance services fell by 1.3%, recreation, education and cultural goods and services fell by 1.3%, clothing fell by 2.4%, transportation and communication fell by 2.5%, and housing fell by 6.9%. Industrial factory prices fell by 3.7%. Among them, light industry fell by 1.9%, heavy industry fell by 5.3%.

Annual fish production of 549,100 tons, an increase of 2.5%, of which 539,400 tons of pond fish production, an increase of 2.9%. The annual three bird rearing capacity of 116,625,100, an increase of 3.9%; pig rearing capacity of 3,113,000, an increase of 2.6%.

All industry completed the year's value-added of 292.443 billion yuan, an increase of 12.5 percent over the previous year. Among them, above-scale (the same below) industrial added value of 286.504 billion yuan, an increase of 14.0%. State-owned and state-controlled enterprises 15.664 billion yuan, an increase of 15.2%; collective enterprises 3.226 billion yuan, a decline of 0.1%; joint-stock enterprises 146.895 billion yuan, an increase of 15.8%; foreign and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan investment enterprises 102.303 billion yuan, an increase of 9.0%. Private enterprises 166.745 billion yuan, an increase of 14.1%. Light and heavy industry, light industry 135.867 billion yuan, an increase of 13.7%; heavy industry 150.637 billion yuan, an increase of 16.1%. The ratio of light and heavy industry is 1:1.11.
Traditional industries in the textile and clothing, chemical fiber manufacturing industry added value of 19.746 billion yuan, an increase of 20.8% over the previous year; food and beverage industry of 10.021 billion yuan, an increase of 14.5%; furniture manufacturing industry of 6.347 billion yuan, an increase of 10.7%; 26.647 billion yuan of construction materials, up 6.8%; metal products industry 21.964 billion yuan, an increase of 22.2%; household electrical appliances manufacturing 39.887 billion yuan, an increase of 4.2%; plastic products 15.355 billion yuan, an increase of 20.5%.
High-tech manufacturing in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry to complete the value-added 1.223 billion yuan, an increase of 29.5% over the previous year; 2.092 billion yuan of medical equipment and instrumentation manufacturing, an increase of 17.4%; 11.509 billion yuan of electronic and communication equipment manufacturing, an increase of 19.6%; 2.390 billion yuan of computer and office equipment manufacturing, a decline of 23.7%.
Advanced manufacturing industry in the equipment manufacturing industry added value of 64.672 billion yuan, an increase of 17.0% over the previous year; steel processing industry 7.503 billion yuan, an increase of 34.6%; petroleum and chemical products manufacturing industry 16.155 billion yuan, an increase of 15.3%.

Completion of commercial housing area of 2,406,900 square meters, down 32.3%; commercial housing sales area of 7,795,000 square meters, an increase of 43.4%; commercial housing sales of 48,723 million yuan, an increase of 64.3%. At the end of the year, commercial housing vacant area of 1,316,200 square meters, down 8.8%.
Fifth, transportation, post and telecommunications and tourism
All modes of transportation completed 210.41 million passengers, an increase of 11.5% over the previous year. Of which 209,720,000 road transportation, an increase of 11.6%; waterway transportation 690,000 people, down 2.7%. Completed passenger turnover of 6.750 billion person-kilometers, an increase of 24.6%. Of which 6.656 billion passenger kilometers of road transport, an increase of 24.9%; waterway transport 0.84 billion passenger kilometers, down 3.3%.
All modes of transport completed 178.02 million tons of freight volume, an increase of 16.2% over the previous year. Of which 131.62 million tons of road transport, an increase of 26.5%; waterway transport 44.87 million tons, down 4.8%. Completed cargo turnover of 16.825 billion tons of kilometers, an increase of 7.1%. Of which 9.477 billion tons of road transport kilometers, an increase of 11.9%; waterway transport 7.318 billion tons of kilometers, an increase of 1.6%.
Annual major ports completed 50.99 million tons of cargo throughput, down 1.1% from the previous year. Among them, the port container throughput of 28.03 million tons, an increase of 10.7%.
At the end of the year, the city's civilian car ownership of 761,200, an increase of 15.7% over the previous year. Among them, 651,100 private cars, an increase of 18.0%. Civilian car ownership of 399,500, an increase of 21.5%. Of which 372,100 private cars, an increase of 22.4%.
The total annual postal and telecommunications business totaled 29.644 billion yuan, an increase of 11.3% over the previous year. The total postal business amounted to 666 million yuan, an increase of 13.9%; the total telecommunications business amounted to 28.978 billion yuan, an increase of 11.2%. At the end of the year, there were 2,694,600 local telephone users, a decrease of 327,200; 9,443,100 cell phone users, an increase of 573,700. Internet broadband users 1,116,500 households, an increase of 312,500 households.
The number of tourists received for the year was 26.35 million, an increase of 6.3% over the previous year. Among the number of tourists, 8,359,900 overnight tourists were received, an increase of 4.2%. Among them, 157,000 foreigners, down 7.7%; Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots 826,400, an increase of 1.9%. The total annual tourism revenue of 20.486 billion yuan, an increase of 10.1%.
VI. Domestic Trade
Total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to 142.905 billion yuan, an increase of 21.3% over the previous year. Geographically, urban retail sales of consumer goods amounted to 84.414 billion yuan, an increase of 21.9%; rural retail sales of consumer goods amounted to 58.491 billion yuan, an increase of 20.5%. By industry, the retail sales of wholesale and retail trade amounted to 113.269 billion yuan, an increase of 22.0%; the retail sales of accommodation and catering industry amounted to 29.636 billion yuan, an increase of 18.9%.
In the retail sales of wholesale and retail trade above the limit, the retail sales of grain and oil increased by 30.5% over the previous year, meat, poultry and eggs decreased by 13.5%, automobiles increased by 28.1%, petroleum and products increased by 17.7%, household electrical appliances and audio-visual equipment increased by 25.6%, Chinese and western medicines increased by 42.5%, garments, footwear, hats, and needlework increased by 21.2%, daily necessities increased by 12.8%, communications equipment increased by 12.8%, and daily commodities increased by 12.8%, and daily commodities increased by 12.8%. The category of clothing, shoes, hats, needles and textiles increased by 21.2%, daily necessities increased by 12.8%, communication equipment increased by 27.9%, cultural and office supplies increased by 64.2%, and construction and decoration materials increased by 30.4%.
Seven, the foreign economy
The annual import and export totaled 38.339 billion U.S. dollars, a decline of 9.2% over the previous year. Of which exports 24.578 billion U.S. dollars, down 15.1%; imports 13.762 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 3.8%. Realized a surplus of 10.816 billion U.S. dollars, 4.894 billion U.S. dollars less than the previous year.
By trade mode, general trade exports totaled 12.882 billion U.S. dollars, down 16.4% from the previous year; processing trade exports totaled 11.602 billion U.S. dollars, down 13.5%. The nature of export enterprises, foreign-invested enterprises exported 14.895 billion U.S. dollars, down 15.9%; domestic enterprises exported 9.683 billion U.S. dollars, down 13.9%. In terms of export products, exports of electromechanical products amounted to USD 15.715 billion, down 16.1%; exports of high-tech products amounted to USD 3.649 billion, down 15.3%. In terms of export markets, exports to Hong Kong market amounted to 4.498 billion U.S. dollars, down 24.3%; exports to the U.S. market amounted to 4.303 billion U.S. dollars, down 0.4%; exports to the European Union market amounted to 4.570 billion U.S. dollars, down 17.9%; exports to the ASEAN market amounted to 1.996 billion U.S. dollars, down 5.5%.
Annually signed 162 new foreign direct investment projects, contracted foreign investment amounted to 1.013 billion U.S. dollars, down 30.8% and 55.3% over the previous year; the actual use of foreign direct investment amounted to 1.874 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 3.7%, of which the manufacturing industry accounted for 49.2%, the real estate industry accounted for 40.4%, the wholesale and retail trade accounted for 4.0%, the construction industry accounted for 3.6%. Scientific research, technical services and geological exploration accounted for 1.1%, and transportation, storage and postal services accounted for 0.5%.

VIII. Finance and Insurance

The annual premium income was 11.842 billion yuan. Of which property insurance premium income of 3.383 billion yuan, personal insurance premium income of 8.459 billion yuan. Various claims and payment expenses of 3.212 billion yuan. Among them, property insurance claims expenditure amounted to 1.694 billion yuan, and personal insurance claims and benefits expenditure amounted to 1.518 billion yuan.
Nine, science and technology and education
The city has 528 engineering centers at all levels, of which 84 are provincial engineering centers and 167 are municipal engineering centers. High-tech enterprises 354, including the National Torch Plan key high-tech enterprises (groups) 46. There are 8 new provincial engineering centers and 10 demonstration bases for provincial industry-university-research. Throughout the year, it won 16 provincial science and technology awards and 147 municipal science and technology awards. Brands, patents, standards construction achieved results. There are 9 new Chinese Well-known Trademarks, participated in the formulation and release of 105 national standards, 8 industry standards. The number of patent applications for invention was 1,853 and the number of authorizations was 646 for the whole year.
The city now has 3 ordinary schools of higher education, with an annual enrollment of 12,600 and 37,000 students; 51 ordinary high schools, with an enrollment of 37,800 and 111,600 students; 128 junior high schools, with an enrollment of 74,100 and 211,600 students; 429 elementary schools, with an enrollment of 66,900 and 434,200 students; and 777 kindergartens, with an enrollment of 50,800 and 434,200 students. There are 777 kindergartens with an enrollment of 50,800 and 183,600 children in school. The enrollment rate of school-age children is 99.07%; the elementary school graduation rate is 100%; the junior high school graduation rate is 98.83%; and the general high school graduation rate is 83.79%.
Ten, culture, health and sports
At the end of the year **** there is a mass art museum, 5 cultural centers, 48 theaters, 6 museums, 6 public **** libraries at or above the county level, the library's total collection of 2.7 million books. Foshan Daily has a total print run of 28,203,900 copies.
At the end of the year **** there are 1,249 health institutions, including 57 hospitals, 5 maternal and child health centers, 40 health centers. Health institutions have 21,456 beds, 5.83 beds per 1,000 population. There are 31,459 health technicians of various types, including 11,391 licensed (assistant) physicians. Every 1,000 people have practicing (assistant) physicians 3.09 people.
The city's sportsmen and women to participate in domestic and international competitions*** won seven world champions, two Asian champions, 20 national champions, especially in the Eleventh National Games, achieved 7 gold, 6 silver, 8 bronze excellent results.
Eleven, population and environment
The city's resident population at the end of the year was 5,996,800 people, an increase of 43,900 people over the end of the previous year, an increase of 0.7%.
According to the household population statistics, the city's total number of households at the end of the year 1,104,600 households, with a total population of 3,676,300 people, an increase of 3.3 million people over the previous year. The birth rate was 9.72 per thousand, and the death rate was 5.00 per thousand.
Annual chemical oxygen demand (COD) emissions of 66,800 tons, down 12.79% from the previous year; sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions 102,700 tons, down 17.24%. The city's new construction, expansion of 24 sewage treatment plants, new sewage treatment capacity of 673,000 tons / day. The urban sewage treatment rate reached 68.83%, the urban environmental protection investment index was 2.07%, the drinking water quality of drinking water sources to meet the standard rate of 100%, industrial wastewater discharge to meet the standard rate of 93.20%, the comprehensive utilization rate of industrial solid waste was 97.53%, the city's central city of harmless treatment of domestic garbage rate reached 87.54%. XII, people's life, social security and production safety
The annual per capita disposable income of urban residents 24,578 yuan, an increase of 9.3% over the previous year. Urban residents per capita consumption expenditure of 19,296 yuan, an increase of 9.9%. The Engel's coefficient for urban residents was 34.6%, down 1.3 percentage points. Of urban residents' consumption expenditures, education accounted for 5.1%, and cultural and recreational services accounted for 6.7%. The total floor space of housing for urban residents is 38.7 square meters per capita. The per capita disposable income of the top 10% of the urban income group was RMB 52,711, while that of the bottom 10% was RMB 9,358. At the end of the year, there were 45.5 family cars per 100 urban households. The per capita net income of rural residents for the year was 10,699 yuan, an increase of 10.8%; the Engel's coefficient for rural households was 36.6%, a decrease of 0.7 percentage points.
The city's basic pension insurance enrollment of 2,588,400 people, unemployment insurance enrollment of 1,490,000 people; the number of urban workers in the basic medical insurance enrollment of 1,760,000 people; urban residents in the basic medical insurance enrollment of 2,180,000 people; workers' compensation insurance enrollment of 1,870,400 people. The city's urban and rural low income insurance assistance for 56,900 people, the amount of assistance 113,680,400 yuan, urban and rural medical assistance for 56,900 people, the amount of assistance 21,626,200 yuan.
The mortality rate of production and safety accidents in the city's 100 million yuan of GDP was 0.16, the mortality rate of road traffic was 3.70, and the mortality rate of 100,000 people employed by industrial, mining and commercial enterprises was 1.09.
