Bamboo is a kind of pure natural ecological environment data, which has good usability and excellent environmental coordination, less resource and energy consumption, less environmental pollution, high recycling rate, good design attributes and oriental cultural and artistic characteristics. Therefore, bamboo is more and more widely used in all aspects of interior design.
First, the design attributes of bamboo
Bamboo has the advantages of straight texture, elegant color, light weight, high mechanical strength, good splitting performance and strong bending resistance. When bamboo is used to make the same piece of furniture, it is lighter and easier to transport than furniture made of wood, metal and other materials. Bamboo has great elasticity and good bending performance, which can meet the needs of modeling design. Chopped bamboo sticks can be woven into flat or vertical products with different patterns to form different textures and textures from the original bamboo materials. Bamboo is mostly green, purple-black and brown, with natural texture. The influence of bamboo culture makes bamboo unique in artistry. Bamboo consumes less environmental energy, can be recycled, and has a low price. It has strong environmental protection and economy when used in interior design.
Second, the application of bamboo
(1) floor paving materials
Ground treatment occupies a large proportion in indoor space. Its high frequency of use, large area, coupled with the concept of nature, environmental protection and green, people's requirements for ground laying are more stringent. The choice of ground pavement materials should consider its compressive strength, pollution resistance and aesthetics. Bamboo flooring is mostly made of bamboo because of its natural texture; Color difference, shrinkage and expansibility are smaller than those of wood floor; The natural hardness is more than twice that of wood; Low thermal conductivity, warm in winter and cool in summer when stepping on the floor; It is favored by people because of its fragrant smell, safety, environmental protection and easy maintenance. However, bamboo flooring is easily affected by sunlight and humidity, and there is a phenomenon of stratification. In addition, bamboo itself is prone to mildew and insects. Therefore, the research on the practicality of bamboo flooring needs to be further deepened.
(2) Wall paving materials
Like the ground, the wall occupies a large proportion in the indoor space. How to choose the wall paving material has a great influence on the creation of the whole space style. Bamboo is generally used as wall paving material in the form of original bamboo or bamboo veneer in interior design. Bamboo glue board is made of bamboo after picking, knotting, slicing, scraping, cutting, three proofing and dyeing, and then glued and pressed with bamboo strips or woven flat or vertically. In Dai bamboo house or special restaurant, the whole wall is decorated with original bamboo or bamboo board, but in modern home decoration, a small area is used for wall decoration or top decoration, which can not only achieve sound absorption and sound insulation, but also maintain indoor temperature, and at the same time give people a neat, simple, ethereal and beautiful feeling in decoration effect.
(3) Structure and decorative materials
Bamboo has high mechanical strength and good toughness. When used as structural material, it can meet the needs of bearing, modeling and decoration. The application forms mainly include the following:
1. Bamboo partitions and screens
Different shapes of bamboo screens and partitions can create different indoor styles. The relatively thick bamboo is bent into a modeling frame by heating bending, slotting bending and the like. Bamboo segments are connected by butt joint, nail joint, cross joint, L-shaped joint, mosaic joint and winding joint. The partition is rough and simple, suitable for rural or modern indoor. Bamboo screens and partitions carved or woven from bamboo are exquisite and elegant, suitable for placing in rooms with new Chinese style and Southeast Asian style, as shown in figure 1.
2. Bamboo door
Bamboo doors are divided into bamboo board doors and bamboo sheet doors. Bamboo door is a low-carbon environmental protection door made of bamboo, similar to solid wood door. Bamboo door is a kind of density board door, which is made of bamboo branches and roots. Bamboo doors are generally made of bamboo, which has the characteristics of no deformation and no cracking, and is also suitable for wet environments such as bathrooms and kitchens. Through the changeable bamboo structure and rich color treatment, different styles of interior design requirements can be met.
3. Bamboo furniture
Bamboo furniture has been deeply loved by people since the Qing Dynasty because of its characteristics of moisture absorption and heat absorption, smooth texture, strong toughness and durability. Today, with the improvement of manufacturing technology, the variety of bamboo furniture has gradually increased. Chair and stool furniture, bamboo chairs are made of original bamboo and bamboo tubes with different thicknesses through baking, bending, drilling, tenoning and nailing. In Figure 2, the combination of bamboo and stainless steel enhances the modernity of the bamboo chair. Cabinet furniture, when bamboo is used in cabinet furniture, the original bamboo is spliced, or the structural forms of bamboo strips, bamboo raft boards, round bamboo sheets, bamboo curtain boards, mahjong blocks, woven boards and other materials are adopted, and finally, round bamboo, bamboo strips and other materials are used for edge sealing treatment, so as to make bamboo coffee tables, TV cabinets, bookcases, wardrobes and other furniture with changeable lines and different styles.
(4) As decorative materials.
One of the purposes of indoor furnishings is to meet people's aesthetic needs. The focus of design lies in the handling of details, and the design of interior furnishings is the unity of the two. Bamboo furniture mainly includes: bamboo carving crafts, bamboo weaving crafts, bamboo lamps and so on.
1. Bamboo Carving Crafts
Bamboo carving technology was formed in Shang and Zhou Dynasties, and gradually reached its peak. The theme of bamboo carving in arts and crafts is very rich, and the connotation of bamboo culture is often conveyed with the help of auspicious blessings, luck, longevity, plum, orchid, bamboo, chrysanthemum, traditional Chinese patterns and landscapes. The bamboo carving with double spring in Shaoyang, Hunan, Huangyan, Zhejiang and Jiang 'an, Sichuan is a unique and exquisite carving method in the art of bamboo carving. The carving formed on bamboo yellow is close to ivory in color and warm in color. Bamboo carving pen holders, aromatherapy, fan bones and decorative ornaments can be seen everywhere in the room. Fig. 3 is the work "Drunkenness of the Imperial Lady" by Luo, a master of flip bamboo carving.
2. Bamboo handicrafts
Bamboo weaving handicraft is to collect bamboo with Phyllostachys pubescens and Dendrocalamus affinis as main raw materials. Winding and film opening; Scraping finishing; Three-proof dyeing; Decorative articles formed by weaving and other technological processes. As early as the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the art of bamboo weaving had reached a fairly high level of skill. Nowadays, bamboo mats, tissue boxes, craft fruit pots (as shown in Figure 4), bamboo baskets and various small handicrafts are widely used in interior design.
3. Bamboo lanterns
In the design of lamps, bamboo is often used to make brackets and lampshades of lamps. Generally, 5-year-old bamboo is selected, and after cutting, slitting, drying, fine grinding, polishing, embryo loading, painting and other processes, a bamboo lamp is formed. The mechanical strength of bamboo is high, which can meet the mechanical requirements of bamboo as a lamp holder. Bamboo is soft and can be bent into different shapes to meet the modeling requirements of lamps. The light transmittance of bamboo woven lampshade can be adjusted according to the use requirements to meet the lighting requirements and create a space atmosphere. The bamboo lamp shown in Figure 5, with original bamboo materials and modern modeling design, makes the whole lamp not only convey the texture of pure natural ecological materials, but also meet the aesthetic requirements of modern people.
Three. abstract
Interior design is a combination of culture and design. Bamboo meets the requirements of modern design in technology, art and economy. As a branch of culture, bamboo culture enriches the artistic expression of design works. Grasping the natural attributes of bamboo, combined with modern science and technology, makes up for the natural defects of bamboo that are easy to rot, mildew and insects. At the same time, the unique texture and color of bamboo also make the design works closer to nature. The innovation of materials is the driving force to promote indoor reform and development, and the embodiment of natural properties of materials is also one of the people-oriented performances. Therefore, bamboo is more and more used in all aspects of interior design, which also explains the concept of environmental protection and people-oriented.
