Yongle blue-and-white porcelain in Ming Dynasty changed from thick and vigorous in Yuan Dynasty to fresh and beautiful, with delicate and white fetal quality, crystal clear and full glaze, and rich and elegant blue-and-white color. Its peculiar shape, bright colors and extraordinary ornamentation, together with Xuande blue-and-white porcelain, are called the golden age of China blue-and-white porcelain.
Ming and Qing porcelain flat pots first appeared in Yongle period, and were also fired in Xuande period. There are two-ear gourd flat pots (that is, holding moon bottles), garlic flat pots and two-ear back pots.
