Trick or treat!

Trick or treat! (Halloween customs)

In the West, on October 31 every year, for "Halloween Halloween Eve", also known as "Ghost Day", children will dress up as little ghosts and go from door to door asking for trick or treating, shouting: "Trick or treat!"

Halloween, also known as All Saints' Day, falls on November 1 every year and is a traditional Western holiday; and October 31, the eve of Halloween, is the holiday's most festive time. In Chinese, Halloween is often falsely translated as All Saints' Day.

To celebrate Halloween, children dress up as all kinds of cute ghosts and goblins and knock on doors door to door, asking for candy or else they will go trick-or-treating. Legend has it that on this night, ghosts and goblins dressed up as children mix with the crowds to celebrate Halloween, while humans dress up as ghosts and goblins to make them feel more at home.

The Halloween costume originated as a prank, where an adult would take a child out with him or her (usually the adult would pull up to the curb and the child would say, "Trick or treat. Adults ask their children in advance to only go to homes with festive decorations and lights at the entrance, otherwise they are not allowed to disturb them. In addition, the child must always stand at the front door and wait during the trick-or-treating process, but is not allowed to enter the house, and the candies must be handed over to an adult for inspection before they can be eaten. The family that receives the children is also asked not to give home-made food or unpackaged food.
