"DQ Ice Cream" and Baxi are the same manufacturer.
In response to the Qingdao City Newspaper's exposure of the "DQ Ice Queen" ice cream is in fact "Baxi" brand ice cream, August 3, 2011, the U.S. headquarters of the DQ authorized its Chinese agent, Shanghai Shida Catering Management Co. The Daily Economic News sent a statement saying.
American DairyQueen's (ADQ) patented cream is produced in China by a local authorized supplier, Beijing Ailai Fahi Foods Co. The recipe contains high quality ingredients and is standardized globally.

The statement emphasizes that DQ owns the patented formula for the milk syrup, which can only be used to make DairyQueen products and cannot be sold outside of DairyQueen authorized stores. Beijing Ellefaxi Foods Co. is not authorized to produce DairyQueen milk syrup anywhere other than DairyQueen-authorized stores.
Meanwhile, the statement acknowledged that the jams used in DQ's Chinese stores are produced by Tianjin Rishi Tianfu Foods Co. in accordance with DQ's specifications and standards in the United States.
