Zhenhuai House
is located in Huai 'an City, built in the first year of Jianlong in the Northern Song Dynasty, and was originally a restaurant in Zhenjiang. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty, it was renamed "Zhenhuai House" in order to shock Huai River.
Zhenhuai House is built on a platform about 8 meters high, which is simple and magnificent. There is an arch in the middle of the pedestal, which used to be the only way for north-south traffic, and it is known as the "North-South Cardinal". Nowadays, Zhenhuai House has become an ideal place for people to climb the Range Rover.
Guan Tianpei Temple
Guan Tianpei, a national hero, was born in Huai 'an, Jiangsu Province in 1781. He was the prefect of Guangdong Navy in 1834. During his tenure, he fully supported Lin Zexu's idea of banning smoking. He once destroyed more than 2.37 million kilograms of opium at Humen Beach and won a great victory in banning smoking. In 1841, he was killed in the battle against the British invasion of Humen, and was later awarded the title of "Loyalty to the Duke". There is a statue of Guan Tianpei in the ancestral hall of Guan Tianpei, which displays the elegiac couplet inscribed by Lin Zexu and Guan Tianpei's life. Many Chinese and foreign tourists come here for sightseeing every year.
Hanhou Fishing Terrace
Located on the east side of the ancient canal in the northwest corner of Huai 'an city, it was built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, with a rectangular base and a height of more than ten feet. When Han Xin was young, his family was poor and had no livelihood. He often fished here and sold fish for a living. Later generations built a platform here to commemorate it. On the south side of the fishing platform, there is also a side of Ganlong Imperial Monument, which is engraved with Ganlong Imperial Poems, including "the ancestral temple is constantly on fire, and the frozen pu still has a sinking fishing wind".
The former site of the Jiangsu-Anhui Border Region Government
On October 1, 1945, the Jiangsu-Anhui Border Region Government was established in Huai 'an. It is the people's democratic coalition government of the four liberated areas of Jiangsu, North Jiangsu, Huainan and Huaibei under the leadership of the China * * Production Party.
There are two courtyards in the former site of the border government, covering an area of 61 million square meters. There are 48 antique bungalows (some of which are two-storey buildings) with brick and wood structure, with a construction area of 1,311 square meters. Twenty-six two-story buildings in the North Yard were the offices of the former Communication Office of the Border Region Government, and now they are used to display the historical materials of the Border Region Government and Li Yimang's life. More than 281 historical photos and 141 cultural relics are on display, which comprehensively reproduces the historical features and great achievements of the Border Region Government in that year and the glorious life of Li Yimang, the chairman of the Border Region Government. There is also a bronze statue of Li Yimang, a toast place for Li Yimang ashes and a hexagonal pavilion designed by Li Yimang. The South Yard consists of four bungalows with 22 rooms, and is the office and meeting room of the chairman and vice-chairman of the border region government.
Zhou Enlai Childhood Reading Office
Located in Chenjia Garden on the north bank of the ancient canal in the urban area, it is the residence of Chen's grandparents, the stepmother of Zhou Enlai. In the autumn of 1914, 6-year-old En Lai moved to Wan Mansion, the grandfather of Qingjiangpu (now Huai 'an City), with her parents and stepmother, and continued to study in Wan Mansion. The rich collection of books left by my grandfather Wan Qingxuan has become a treasure house for Enlai to acquire knowledge in his childhood. In September 1915, due to the unsatisfactory management of Wanfu Family School, Enlai moved to Chenjia Garden in the south of Wanfu with her stepmother and biological mother. The heir mother invited the teacher to set up her own school library. There are four students: Enlai and his younger brother Enpu, and his two sisters. Here, Enlai has read many ancient books and masterpieces, such as < P >, The Five Classics, The Journey to the West, The Water Margin, The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, The Legend of Yue, The Mirror Flower Garden, etc. In the spring of 1917, the biological mother (Wan's family) died, and the family school was closed because it was unable to maintain it. Enlai returned to his hometown of Huai 'an with his younger brothers Enpu and Enshou.
Chuxiu Garden
is located in the center of the city, covering an area of 48 hectares. It is named because it belongs to Chu in ancient times and is a beautiful place in Huai 'an. Chuxiu Garden used to be a lake swamp outside the old Qingjiang River. The Qing Dynasty once trained naval officers here. When Emperor Wuzong of the Ming Dynasty made a southern tour, he drove a boat here to fish for fun, accidentally fell into the water, fell ill after returning to Beijing, and died the next year, leaving a well-known story of "Leaping Dragon Pool". It was built as a park in 1958. The water surface in the park is open and changeable, the terrain is undulating, and the scenery is beautiful and elegant. * * * There are 4 scenic spots and 11 scenic spots, and there are special parks such as zoo, rose garden and children's paradise, forming a landscape pattern with gardens and scenery in the garden, which makes tourists feast for the eyes. Not long ago, Huai' an villagers living in Taiwan Province donated money to rebuild the Imperial Poetry Pavilion (commonly known as Long Ting people) in the northwest corner of the park. The pavilion has six-corner double eaves and is covered with green glazed tiles.
Qing Yan Park, located in the urban area, is the most representative classical garden in northern Jiangsu, and the only official garden in the history of water transportation in China, with a history of more than 311 years.
