Beilun Lingshan Academy has a long history and excellent teaching tradition, and has trained many outstanding talents. The school is located in the deep-water port Beilun Harbor, founded in the Qing Dynasty Jiaqing nine years (1804), by the township sage, Zhenhai County, the excellent tribute to the student Wu donated 100 acres of land founded. The school is famous for its long history, excellent teachers, and talented students.

In addition, Lingshan School had twice served as governor of Zhejiang Province, the Ministry of War, the Imperial Household of the Imperial Household of Ruan Yuan for its "Zhenhai County, the new Lingshan School Record," in recognition of its contribution to local education. Now, one of the stone tablets written and engraved by Liang Tongshu, an editor of the Hanlin Academy, is still on display in the school history room, showing its historical value.
