Although the signboard of this store was eye-catching, the business was declining. By the third year of Tongzhi (1864), the business had fallen apart and was on the verge of closure. The shrewd Yang Quanren seized this opportunity and took out his years of savings to buy the store "Dejuquan".
Under Yang Quanren's careful management, the business of Dejuquan flourished. Yang Quanren is smart and capable, he knows that in order for business to flourish, it is necessary to rely on a good cook, a good head of the hall, a good shopkeeper. He often to all kinds of duck store to go around, explore the secrets of duck, looking for duck masters.
