Applying for relocation outside the city

To register for relocation outside the city, you must present the following documents and certificates to the police station where you are relocating your hukou:

(a) Demobilized and rehabilitated veterans who have enlisted in the armed forces from the city must present a letter of introduction to the settlement of household from the demobilization and rehabilitation department of the city or the city bureau or the municipal bureau of "Notice of Entry into the Household," the "Demobilization Certificate" or the "Rehabilitation Certificate. Certificate of Rehabilitation; for those who joined the army in the non-city, they must present the "Notice of Settlement" issued by the municipal bureau, the certificate of the household project issued by the archives department and the "Demobilization Certificate" or "Certificate of Rehabilitation"; for those who joined the army in the city and cancelled their household registration and then returned to their household registration by the army, they must present the certificate of discharge of the unit of the army of the division or above; and the above people must also present the certificate of the citizenship number issued by the army or by the police station of the place where their original household registration was cancelled.

(2) Students admitted to colleges and universities or assigned for graduation

Admitted students are required to present their Resident Identity Card, Hukou Relocation Certificate, Admission Notice, and Notice of Admission from the county office.

Students who have been assigned to graduate must produce:

1. Foreign students who have been assigned to graduate from local institutions must produce the Employment Report Card, proof of the accepting organization, and the Notification of Household Admission from the sub-county office or the city office;

2. Students who have been assigned to graduate from foreign institutions (including those who have been assigned to graduate from local institutions) must produce their Resident Identity Card, Hukou Relocation Certificate, Employment Report Card, proof of the accepting organization, and the Notification of Household Admission from the sub-county office or the city office. Proof and sub-county bureau or municipal bureau issued a "notice of entry"; the city's birthplace is not assigned to work must produce "resident identity card", "hukou transfer certificate", sub-county bureau or municipal bureau of "notice of entry" and school certificate;

3. City students to foreign institutions to attend school and then withdrew from school must be issued by the school to attend the certificate of withdrawal and "resident identity card", "hukou transfer certificate".

(3) the city abroad (outbound) did not obtain the right to settle in the city shall produce the "Chinese People's **** and the State passport" or other exit and entry documents; in foreign countries lost "passport", shall be issued by our embassies and consulates abroad, "the Chinese People's **** and the State Travel Permit"; in the domestic loss of the "passport", shall be issued by the Exit and Entry Administration Department of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau of the "original passport issued certificate". "Certificate of Issuance of Original Passport".

Persons whose household accounts were in foreign countries before going abroad and students of non-Beijing origin studying abroad during their studies at institutions in Beijing, and who have been resettled in the city after returning home, must produce the "Certificate of Permission to Move Household Accounts", "Certificate of Household Relocation" or "Household Entry Notification Slip", the "Resident Population Registration Card", and their "Passports", which are issued by the sub-county bureaus or the municipal bureaus.

(4) Overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots settling in the city must hold the Notice of Household Entry issued by the municipal bureau.

(E) missing canceled and recovered household registration certificate of the original cancellation of household registration, the person or the guardian of a written application for approval by the chief of the police station for processing.

(VII) foreign provinces and cities to transfer work to Beijing, the transfer to the household must hold a "resident identity card", "household transfer certificate", "permission to move into the certificate", "notice of entry into the household".

(h) In case of a new household, the non-agricultural population shall hold the original and a copy of the certificate of property rights or the public housing lease contract; the housing unit shall provide the housing allocation notice and a copy of it; and the agricultural population shall hold the certificate of consent to the establishment of a household by the village committee.

The above mentioned persons shall also hold the Resident's Household Register of the household to which they are moving. For those who have returned to their home country, released, discharged from re-education through labor, or have been discharged from military service or school (except for those who have been approved by the Municipal Bureau to move into the household) and are not resuming their household registration in the place where their household registration has been canceled, they must hold a certificate of cancellation of their household registration from the police station where their household registration was originally located.
