It should be said that local education administrative departments, principals and teachers attach great importance to it and do their best. The school safety work has been strengthened to some extent, and all kinds of safety accidents have dropped significantly, greatly reducing the mass disasters of students. However, since the recent period, school safety accidents have appeared one after another in some places, and major malignant accidents have increased. On the one hand, the social security situation is complicated, and many accidents are caused by "natural disasters and man-made disasters"; However, a considerable part of it is due to the lax and paralyzed safety work in some places and schools, and the responsibility is not implemented and the work is not in place, which must be highly valued.

The safety accidents in some schools in recent days are reported as follows:

First, traffic accidents caused heavy casualties to students: On the morning of October 4, No.2 Middle School of Qinyuan County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province organized students of Grade 2 and Grade 3 to run exercises on the highway. On the way back to school, a truck with a trailer with Dongfeng directly crashed into the running students' team due to the driver's fatigue, resulting in a serious traffic accident. At present, the accident * * * caused 21 students. That morning, the school sent 17 teachers to run exercises with the team. It should be said that they worked very hard, but there were still heavy casualties.

Second, the school stair stampede accident: On October 25th, a crowded stampede accident occurred at the central primary school in Guangna Town, Tongjiang County, Bazhong City, Sichuan Province, which killed 8 students and injured 17 students.

Third, the criminal case of injuring students is outrageous: On September 5, two suspects cheated Wenmou, a primary school student in Nanyue District, Hengyang City, Hunan Province, out of school on the grounds that his mother was ill, and then demanded ransom from his parents. When the police arrested the gangster on September 7, they found that the pupil had died.

Fourth, public health and safety incidents occur from time to time on campus: On June 6th, some primary and secondary schools in Dazhuang Town, Sixian County, Anhui Province gave students the "Hepatitis A vaccine" in violation of regulations, and a group psychological reaction occurred. On 11/14, 21 students suffered from collective food poisoning in Xinjichuan Township Central Primary School, Longxian County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, which has been initially identified as "tetramine" poisoning.

Seeing that a ruthless safety accident took away young lives, we were really worried and couldn't sleep at night. Comrades are all educators, and the people put their children in our hands, their hopes and the future of the motherland in our hands. If students have an accident at school because of our failure to do our work, we can't explain to the country and the people. The fundamental task of the school is to cultivate talents, and all the tasks of the school are for the healthy growth of students. The main leaders of education administrative departments at all levels and schools should fully understand the importance of shouldering responsibilities. "What about education if life is not guaranteed?" We should firmly establish the consciousness of "cherish life, safety first, responsibility is more important than Mount Tai" and put the strengthening of school safety responsibility in the most important position.

Strictly administering education, strengthening management and ensuring safety must become the top priority of education in the new period.
