Institutional Functions of Nanchang Consumers' Association

The Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Consumer Rights and Interests of the People's Republic of China assigns the following seven functions to the Consumers' Association:

(1) to provide consumers with consumer information and counseling services;

(2) to participate in the supervision and inspection of commodities and services by the relevant administrative departments;

(3) to reflect to the relevant administrative departments on issues relating to the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, Inquiries, recommendations;

(4) accept consumer complaints, and investigation of complaints, mediation;

(5) complaints related to the quality of goods and services, can be submitted to the appraisal department for appraisal, the appraisal department shall inform the appraisal conclusion;

(6) on the damage to the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, to support the harmed consumers to file a lawsuit;

(7) to harm the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, through the mass media to expose, criticize.
