The recruitment of Olympic Games volunteers will begin in August 2116, and the whole recruitment will continue until April 2118. The recruitment methods are the combination of open recruitment and directional recruitment, the combination of collective registration and individual registration, and the combination of online application and written application. Targeted recruitment will start in the second half of this year. According to the progress of the work, we will use more convenient and humanized methods to meet the participation and registration needs of all sectors of society.
The fields of volunteer service for the Olympic Games are very extensive. Now it seems that there are about a dozen categories, such as concierge reception, language translation, transportation, security, medical and health care, media operation, distribution of goods, audience consultation and so on. In all the competition venues of our Olympic Games, volunteers can be seen active in all aspects. The service targets include members of the Olympic family, media reporters, sponsors, and even some spectators and foreign tourists coming to Beijing.
To be a volunteer, there is no special requirement. Everyone who wants to be a volunteer and contribute to society, regardless of gender, old and young, has the opportunity to participate in this project. However, volunteers also have some basic conditions. First, they should be over 18 years old by April 2118. Second, they should abide by the laws and regulations of China. Third, they should have a certain foreign language foundation and be able to communicate in foreign languages. In some specific positions, we must have corresponding abilities and qualities.
according to the crowd, volunteers can be divided into ten categories: college students, middle school students, social volunteers, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan volunteers and international volunteers. According to the requirements of the post, professional volunteers and non-professional volunteers, from the current research and forecast, roughly 51% each. Professional volunteers, such as media operation, medicine and health, need volunteers to have more professional knowledge.
there are three main categories of volunteer training: general training, professional training and on-the-job training. General training is to make volunteers have basic knowledge of Olympic common sense, national customs, traditional culture and etiquette norms. General training is mainly conducted through Internet distance education and classroom face-to-face teaching. Professional training is mainly to train volunteers' relevant professional knowledge and skills, mainly in face-to-face lectures, and is organized and implemented by the Olympic Organizing Committee and designated training institutions. On-the-job training is to introduce the basic situation, work tasks and business processes of the post, which is generally carried out by various departments that use volunteers.
There are many aspects of training. In addition to the coordination group for Olympic volunteers, the municipal government and the Olympic Organizing Committee have jointly set up a coordination group for training, which will be very effective in future work. Our training mainly relies on some specialized institutions and gives full play to the advantages of Beijing's abundant educational resources. There are many universities and educational institutions in Beijing, and these educational institutions will undertake some corresponding responsibilities and tasks. In addition, through our organizational system, they will have a special training force to carry out training.
Olympic volunteers practice dual management. On the one hand, a perfect volunteer organization and management system including corps, brigades, squadrons, squads and working groups will be established; on the other hand, every Games-time volunteer will join a working group to serve in various functional areas of the Olympic Games, and the management of volunteers' posts, attendance, rotation and evaluation will be the responsibility of the functional departments they serve.
The working conditions and treatment of volunteers follow some basic principles of voluntary service. During the Games, volunteers can take the local bus free of charge, and provide them with special clothing, catering and other necessary working conditions. At the same time, we also consider insuring volunteers. For volunteers from other places and overseas, the round-trip transportation expenses and accommodation expenses in Beijing need to be borne by themselves.
