Gulangyu Island resumes opening

Xiamen should issue a notice to the COVID-19 Epidemic Command. From March 6, many scenic spots in Xiamen, including Gulangyu Scenic Area, will be opened to the public again, and the tourist route from Xiamen to Gulangyu will resume on the same day.

From the date of the resumption of Gulangyu flight to February 31th, 2118, the national medical workers and their accompanying immediate family members will be given a free opening policy. At that time, the pier transition, state-owned scenic spots and characteristic scenic spots, and some family hotels will be free.

Preferential target

It is reported that the preferential target of this policy is the national medical workers (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan). With valid certificates (doctor's practice certificate or nurse's practice certificate) and their immediate family members (including accompanying parents, spouses and children), they can enjoy this preferential treatment.

1. The transition is free. Eligible preferential customers can take the corresponding Gulangyu transit route for free. Xiamen Ferry Co., Ltd. will open a "VIP channel" for qualified preferential customers to provide services during ticket purchase, security inspection and waiting for the ship.

2. State-owned scenic spots and special scenic spots are free. The core scenic spots on Gulangyu Island include Ancient Manor, Sunlight Rock, Haoyueyuan, Bagua House Organ Museum and Engraving Museum, while the characteristic scenic spots include Gulangyu Foreign Cultural Relics Museum, Haitang Pavilion and China Archives Museum, all of which will be open to preferential customers free of charge.

3. Accommodation in some family hotels is free. Some family hotels on Gulangyu Island will provide free accommodation for medical staff involved in epidemic prevention in Hubei for a certain number of days, including some well-known "network celebrities" family hotels. sanqiutian wharf

was built 1841 years ago, and it is one of the earliest ferries on Gulangyu Island, from which early residents of Gulangyu Island entered and exited the island by boat. Later, the terminal developed into an important distribution center for goods entering and leaving the island. After 1985, the new wharf was opened and the old wharf was gradually abandoned.

Boathouse

was designed by American reformist doctor Dr. John Abraham Otte and built in 1921. Its architectural design is very creative, European style, concise and lively, and looks like a cruise ship about to set sail.

Bagua Building

The representative of Gulangyu modern architecture. Funded by Taiwanese businessman Lin Heshou and designed by Dr. John Abraham Otte, it was founded in 1917. However, the project is too big and the expenditure becomes insufficient. Finally, the project was not completed, and Lin Heshou lost everything, so he had no choice but to avoid the Taiwan Province area and the Japanese hastily repaired it.

Yangjiayuan

At the climax of building houses in Gulangyu Island in the early 21th century, around 1913, overseas Chinese in the Philippines, Yang Zhongquan and Yang Zhongyi, bought an old house from the British Mission, and after demolition, they successively built Yangjiayuan villas consisting of four foreign buildings.

Fanpo Building

was built by Xu Jingquan, an overseas Chinese living in the Philippines, in memory of his mother, and was completed in 1924. Its gorgeous and unique shape, especially the head of the Western Queen Mother on the gable of the roof is decorated with clay sculpture, so the neighbors call this building "Fanpo Building".

Dafudi

was founded in the first year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty (1796). It is the earliest existing red brick residence in southern Fujian in Gulangyu, and its owner is Huang Xuzhai. Huang Xuzhai gave birth to a third son. The eldest son, Huang Kunshi, is an official, and the official is the official of the Ministry of Housing. He is a four-level official in Beijing. Therefore, the plaque of "the home of a great man" was hung at home to show its splendor.

Yin Chengzong Villa

In p>1924, Yin Chengzong's father bought this place and it was designed by his eldest son Yin Zuze. It not only has the characteristics of stone towns in southern Fujian, but also has the charm of European Renaissance. In 1942, the famous pianist Yin Chengzong was born here.

Chujiayuan

was built at the end of 19, and was bought by Liao brothers. In 1919, Lin Yutang, a famous modern writer in China, married Liao Cuifeng, the second wife of Liao Jia, and they lived here after marriage, so it is also called "Lin Yutang's former residence".

Xinzhuang Garden

was built in 1921-1931 and was purchased by Huang Xiuxuan, an overseas Chinese living in the Philippines, and Huang * * *. It is a group of five symmetrical villas, with the middle building as the central axis and spreading to both sides. The design absorbs the advantages of Chinese and western cultures, and it can be called a classic of combining Chinese and western cultures.
