Internship is a starting point of anyone's working career, and it is also an indispensable stage in the transition from students to professionals. The following is my weekly diary of the internship at the front desk of the college student hotel carefully arranged for you. Welcome to read for your reference. Please pay attention to more exciting content.

First week

March 9th, XX, was the first day of my internship at the reception desk of XX Hotel. Internship, although not a real job, is the starting point of anyone's working career and an indispensable stage in the transition from students to professionals.

The first day I entered the hotel, I felt everything was strange and fresh. Unfamiliar faces, unfamiliar but friendly smiles. An enthusiastic colleague showed me around, showed me the overall structure and various departments of the company, and introduced me to several colleagues. A week passed quickly. During this week, I tried to adapt myself to the environment and integrate into this big group more quickly, because only dealing with my boss and colleagues can be beneficial to my work.

Second week

I was in a state of being familiar with the basic situation of the hotel last week. At noon this Monday, I was taken to a kind-looking sister and told to study with her in the future. I am very happy because my sister warmly received me and took me to lunch with her. In the afternoon, my sister told me her work and main responsibilities, and I kept them in mind, because this may be my future responsibility. This week, I seem to be relatively familiar with the people and things around me. I'm not as overwhelmed as I was in the first week. Fortunately, I met a better colleague and taught me a lot.

Third week

I quickly entered the third week, and I am already familiar with the hotel environment. I can basically call my colleagues by their first names, so my work efficiency has improved a lot, because I don't have to look around to find something when I go to a place. It seems that integration into the environment is very helpful for doing a good job. The main job this week is to learn to answer the phone and communicate with other companies in business. In the process of making a phone call, there are always some difficulties. For example, I don't know what the other party said, so I can't communicate at all, so I have to write it down first, then ask my colleagues for advice, and then call back later to give an accurate answer. I have gradually accumulated a lot of relevant knowledge from ignorance to understanding in such a project.

Fourth week

On Thursday afternoon, the department manager said that she would give us training. I thought she was telling us about the hotel, but the first thing she said denied my initial guess. She said that she just wanted to talk about our future plans in the form of chat and give us some personal suggestions. The department manager has worked in the hotel for five or six years and can be said to be very experienced. She has a unique view of life and uses her own experience to show her story. She told us that we must pay attention to learning English, and a good English level will increase our chances of success in job hunting in the future. Even if the job you are applying for is not suitable for our major, even if you don't know much about professional knowledge, you are likely to find a good job with strong English listening and speaking skills. In addition, it is suggested to learn some skills or further study to broaden employment, so that it is not so difficult to find a job.

Fifth week

Because I just entered the company, I didn't involve some important things. I think only by starting from the most basic, accumulating bit by bit, doing every little thing that I am responsible for, and reassuring leaders and colleagues, can we achieve great things in the future. I can basically get to the hotel in advance in the morning, and help clean up for a while before I start work, which makes everyone more comfortable and happy, and also teaches me more things. This week was basically spent in busyness and triviality. Although it was trivial, it was very different from school. I think I need to do every little thing myself, and the results obtained through my own labor are very valuable and worthwhile.

Sixth week

Study at work, work at study and make progress at study. My internship cycle will soon be one and a half months. Basically mastered the general workflow, but also contacted the operation, such as accepting telephone reservations, staying in ok rooms, sending and receiving faxes and so on. Today, the foreman asked me how long I planned to practice. I said it might take months. She asked me if I planned to stay in a hotel in the future. I really don't know how to answer her ... several colleagues are going to resign next month, and many new people have come. The turnover rate of hotel staff is really high. Anyway, I do my job well and try my best.
