An employee's favorite part of the job is getting a raise. What are the ways to get a raise? I am not sure which of the following forms of salary increase your company has chosen.
Fixed wage increases:Seniority pay. The easiest salary increase is the seniority pay increase, and it is the easiest to operate. A yearly increase is not much, but it is expensive. The advantage is to affirm the loyalty of employees to the company, and to be able to retain employees to serve the company. The disadvantage is also obvious, one word - simmer, the longer you stay, the more you get paid. For the motivation to work, the increase in efficiency does not have much effect. Older employees are prone to high wages for not working, and newer employees are underpaid for working.
Rank promotion:Similar to seniority pay, employees' ranks are promoted through annual appraisals, and different pay scales are given according to different ranks. I used to work for a Taiwanese company and was recognized as a "3A Engineer" based on my experience and education. It took me five years to be promoted to "4B engineer". The advantage of this is that it can motivate employees to work hard and perform well so that they can be promoted to a higher level. The downside is that it's difficult to assess, and there are some issues with fairness.
Promoted positions and achievements are two different things! Such positions tend to give employees hope, and obvious promotion channels tend to motivate employees. Obviously, if the organization is overstaffed, management will be more difficult.
Assessment of excellence:This is very well understood, this month's outstanding staff award of 200 yuan - the consistent practice of the enterprise. The purpose is naturally to encourage employees to have more outstanding performance. Meet the standard. This is a fixed encouragement to hard working employees. Just like the current self-publishing platform, it is reasonable to reward $50 for 30 articles and $150 for 100 articles every month. Subsidies. Car allowance, food allowance, accommodation allowance, overtime allowance, etc. It's all forms of employee raises. Other awards. Birthday gifts, perfect attendance awards, contribution awards, progress awards, publicity awards, talent awards, etc. are all awards that companies can give to their employees. Don't think that many of the above are employee salaries, not raises. These are two concepts. Under normal circumstances wages can not be lowered, but I listed the wage increase can be lowered, can be increased, can also be canceled.
Performance appraisal. KPI appraisal is actually a mode of salary increase, a dynamic and flexible mode of salary increase. However, in practice, enterprises have fewer rewards and more punishments for KPIs. Enterprises can adjust the performance appraisal, lengthen and widen the assessment line, to achieve the purpose of giving employees a pay rise.
Year-end bonus. When employees ask for a raise, leaders often say they'll consider it at the end of the year. Increasing the amount of the year-end bonus is also a way to increase pay.
Dividends. Or just take a portion of the profits and divide them.
