This... ... It's a Hong Kong film released on September 17, 2020 -- McRoaders (a.k.a. McRefugees).
A movie based on real social events.
It's been a long time since the movie was released, and I didn't see it for the first time until late last night at 3am.
The characters in the movie all have their own struggles, becoming "refugees" and "tenants" at McDonald's.
But it's not just the "refugees" who are the ones who have to pay the rent.
But it is not about the suffering of the world, criticizing the injustice of the upper and lower classes, but the light of humanity in the whole film, and a little bit of human feelings in this impatient society. (
Yesterday, I was on a business trip and passed by McDonald's late at night, and bought a burger to fill my stomach, and there was a kind of quiet hustle and bustle inside.
Except for a few customers and one or two delivery riders.
Some of the others were sleeping ......
Some were studying ......
Some are staring ......
Some are lying down ......
Some are lying down ......
They're all cooped up in their own corners.
I never thought that McDonald's would be so "busy" at 12am (I rarely eat fast food), I was really surprised.
They all have a unified name: McRoaders.
In fact, what amazes me more is why McDonald's, as the world's largest fast-food chain, is willing to take in these ragged, dirty, and even a little bit of spending money homeless people, which is impossible for any catering company in China to do.
I talked to the McDonald's lady for a while, and she said that some of these people come every day, some come occasionally, some are new faces today, and there are people of all ages, some in their 70s and 80s, some in their early 20s.
Most of them move around to other McDonald's stores in the city, but generally don't bother other customers, eat leftovers when they see them, and help the staff clean up the tables.
They're given free hot water if they need it, restaurant staff occasionally pay for it or ask for it, and then give them a little bit of food, and when it's cold, they don't turn off the heat even if there are no other customers in the store.
They also understand that McDonald's takes them in, so they can't be a nuisance.
I've looked up a lot of information on this, and I can't find a definitive description of why McDonald's is so humane and has a human face.
Some people say it's a marketing strategy, some say social responsibility, but one of them said that from an objective point of view, I personally agree.
According to incomplete statistics, there are about 70 million McDonald's people around the world, and last year, due to "force majeure" led to the temporary closure of many McDonald's stores and some stores no longer operate 24 hours a day, and after that, there are a lot of people around the world will have no tile to cover their heads.
I really don't know what to write about McDonald's, but I just wanted to write about it and share some of the feelings of those who have experienced it.
I was reading the experiences of other netizens last night, and a few times I was slightly teary-eyed, not because of the poor "McLaren", but those who are willing to send carbon in the snow so that I can feel the real positive energy, and suddenly feel that there is nothing more valuable than love.

I saw two duffel bags at the door of McDonald's. I always felt something was wrong. Two duffel bags, always feel that something is going to happen, saw an old man lying on his back and sleeping, she grabbed a bag in her hand, there are two cookies, I think that must be the next meal of dry food.
When she woke up, she saw the food in front of her and was a bit overwhelmed, but she wolfed it down.
There is always a kind of goodwill to help people in trouble to light up the dawn of hope, and I hope that this kind of goodwill can bring the elderly a touch of warmth in the dark night.

Bounced out to McDonald's for breakfast and leave him the peace offering from the bar, cheers.
There are too many McDonald's people.
I don't know what they're going through, and I don't really want to know what they're going through, maybe it's laziness, maybe it's self-doubt, maybe it's powerlessness.
The sea of people is vast, they are like a bird that can not land, he may or may not be able to walk out.
What we can do is to try to empathize with them, help them if we can, and not to help them if we don't have to.
Many netizens have said that they were once a part of it, and had received the grace of staying overnight, and that just this one night might have changed their lives.

Borrowed from the movie McRoaders. A quote from the movie "McRoaders": a passerby and a family member.
Check out your nearest McDonald's in the wee hours of the morning or in the morning if you like, I'm sure you'll get some new ideas.
It is clear that they are also suffering, but they can not see the suffering of the people, perhaps this is the greatest goodness of human nature, the light that gradually shines before the dawn.
Macro Man is a movie with a Douban rating of only 6.6, which is really low in my opinion, and it is one of the few good movies.
Perhaps the public is more inclined to the type of comedy with a happy ending, as well as the difficulties of life, which they have not personally experienced, and can not understand and empathize with it.
Let's just leave it at that and hope that this positive energy continues to be passed on.
