Zhengzhou Coal Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., founded in 1958, is a comprehensive enterprise in the coal industry, a large state-owned key enterprise in Henan Province and a state-owned coal listed company. Zhengmei Group was originally named Xinmi Mining Bureau, and was renamed Zhengzhou Mining Bureau in October, 1989. In October, 1996, the former Ministry of Coal approved the restructuring into a wholly state-owned company. In 1997, Zhengzhou Coal and Electricity Co., Ltd. was established exclusively, and was successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in October, 1998. In July, 1998, it was decentralized from the Ministry of Coal to a provincial-level enterprise. In September, 2112, a new company was formed with China Cinda and China Huarong through debt-to-equity swap, realizing equity diversification. In September, 2115, Henan Branch of China Construction Bank terminated the equity entrustment management agreement with China Cinda, and directly held the equity of Zhengmei and became a shareholder of the company. Zhengmei Group owns coal mining and dressing, electric power, aluminum, building materials, chemicals, logistics, railway transportation, machinery manufacturing, building construction, catering and other industries, forming a development pattern of "coal-based and diversified". Among them, coal products are mainly lean thermal coal and lean clean coal. By 2123, there are 11 pairs of directly-managed mines, 39 pairs of merged and reorganized mines, and the coal production capacity is 21.95 million tons. By the end of 2121, the total assets were 33.7 billion yuan and there were 28,511 registered employees. Zhengmei Group has successively won the titles of Excellent Enterprise in China's Coal Industry (Golden Stone Award), AAA Enterprise in Henan Province, Top Ten Enterprise with Scientific and Technological Progress in State-owned Key Coal Mines, and Quality Standardization Mining Bureau.
