Recently, unsalable vegetables of farmers have appeared in many places in Henan. According to local media reports in Henan Province, the vegetable planting area in Zhifang Town of Ruzhou City is more than 21,111 mu, and 3.5 million kilograms of shallots, 931,111 kilograms of spinach, 191.23 million kilograms of cabbage and other vegetables are unsalable. The local area can only digest 11% of the vegetable output, and the remaining 91% of the vegetables are usually sent to other parts of the province and outside the province, but at present, a large number of vegetables are stranded in the ground.
in p>2121, Henan province ranked second in the national regional supply with 76.124 million tons of vegetables, accounting for 11.16% of the national total supply. The vegetable export chain radiated around Hubei, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other places.
there are also unsalable agricultural products in Gansu, Shandong, Hebei and other places. A grower in Jingchuan County, Gansu Province posted the information of 3 kilos of Shawo radish for sale on the Internet: "I sold it to Tianjin for 2 yuan a kilo before, but now no one comes to pull it for 21 cents." The video of vegetable farmers destroying vegetables in Cao County, Shandong Province has attracted network attention. "A catty of vegetables only earns a dime, and the labor cost of hiring a person to collect vegetables is dozens. The vegetables can't be sold, and people can't afford to collect them. It can only be smashed in the ground." A cooperative vegetable farmer said.
As a big vegetable country, the annual output of vegetables in China has increased from 692 million tons in 2117 to 767 million tons in 2121, with a compound annual growth rate of 2.6%. China Commercial Industry Research Institute predicts that China's vegetable production will increase to 791 million tons in 2122.
on October 9, 2p>119, Henan introduced 11 measures for vegetable promotion, and it is strictly forbidden to increase the price layer by layer, and many measures should be taken to connect with merchants inside and outside the province to purchase.
A form of "Helping Henan Farmers to Sell Vegetables" initiated by local media in Henan Province was published on the Internet. Only in Henan Province, farmers wrote down more than 211 items of unsalable agricultural products such as pomegranate, pear, fish and celery. On the other hand, a number of fruit and vegetable supply chain related enterprises began to help Henan farmers sell vegetables.

Big customers who can't come
"The big customers who came to collect vegetables in previous years are not coming." This is the description of vegetable farmers' unsalable vegetables this year. A person in charge of a vegetable purchasing company said: "Sales channels are lacking by farmers, especially individual farmers."
Henan Zhonggeng Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. started to help sell vegetables in Henan earlier. Hou Yanjun, the manager, said in an interview with Interface News that the company didn't sell primary agricultural products like vegetables before. He first found several distributors selling apples in Xinjiang as a pilot and introduced unsalable vegetables into the store for sale. As an aid enterprise in Xinjiang, the company has a number of consumer poverty alleviation museums in the province.
"This time, it's purely for public welfare. We will only add the freight if we collect 21 cents a catty of radishes from cooperatives or farmers, and we will tell the dealers that it won't cost a penny to sell them in the store. If it's cheaper, we will sell more."
After Hou Yanjun filled in his contact information in the form, most of the vegetable farmers who called him were self-employed. "Self-employed households lack the ability to deploy," he said. "Now we mainly go to the main vegetable producing areas, where every household grows vegetables for a living, and the pressure of unsalable sales will be even greater."
According to relevant statistics of Henan Province, there are unsalable vegetables in 51 major planting counties in the province.
Wanbang Yuncang, a local supply chain service platform in Henan, has also joined the team to help vegetable sales. Chai Xuyang, the manager of the company, said in an interview with Interface News: "We enjoy all the core supply chain information of the company, and connect farmers with convenience stores, group buying platforms, offline supermarkets and other channels. The selection managers of these channels choose qualified fruits and vegetables to pull them online and offline for sale."
"At present, the sales of catering chain associations are very poor, because there are many people at home, and consumption is affected." Chai Xuyang said, "We will dock some food processing plants for dishes that cannot be transformed in time."
Mr. Zheng, a distributor of Guangdong Agricultural Batch Market, also suggested that farmers introduce unsalable vegetables into food processing plants. "A farmer in Henan contacted me to come up with 3 tons of dried peppers and 31 acres of cabbage. I told him that the price of vegetables collected here in Guangdong was very low and the freight was not cost-effective, so it was a better way to sell them to food processing enterprises."
"We are only docking the two ends of the vegetable farmers and merchants. As for how much the merchants really purchased, this statistic will take a lot of effort." Chai Xuyang said.
The supply chain is broken
Most enterprises can provide sales channels, but how to get food from farmers is a difficult problem. A fruit and vegetable distributor told the interface news: "We can help him connect with what kind of merchants the farmers can provide, but they need to transport them to Zhengzhou by themselves. The farmers themselves have no distribution ability, and Zhengzhou's large supermarkets or enterprises have logistics vehicles and cannot go because of some restrictions."
A supermarket owner in Henan posted a video on the Internet about his experience of not getting food. "One * * * wanted to get food from eight unsalable places, and called every highway intersection the day before to confirm that it was necessary to issue a certificate in the village, both in the village and in the town, and some told him not to let it go."
In Du Huibiao's opinion, there is still a problem of capacity. He opened 13 supermarkets in Hami, Xinjiang, and before the epidemic, he could digest hundreds of tons of vegetables every day. After docking with farmers in Henan, he said, "I can't even pay the freight myself. Vegetables can take the green channel. The key is that the capacity is insufficient, and the driver is blocked at home or on the road." Du Huibiao's supermarket usually gets goods from Hami local fruit and vegetable wholesale market and Chengdu market, and it is not smooth to pull vegetables from Chengdu recently.
A vegetable vendor made an inquiry to the driver who transported vegetables. The freight for more than 161 kilometers from Xihua County, Henan Province to Zhengzhou City was 1111-1211 yuan, and the usual price was 711-811 yuan.
on October 9, 2p>119, Henan province issued 11 measures to promote vegetable sales, which prohibited the increase of prices at different levels, and demanded that the vegetable transport vehicle pass be issued first. One vehicle, one license and one line can be implemented in the area where the pass is enabled, and vehicles can make multiple trips within the validity period.
Liu Mingbo, head of Erliu Group, a local group-buying brand in Zhengzhou, told the interface journalist that the company applied for a vehicle pass on the "Zheng Hao Office" because it is a supplier-guaranteed enterprise with formal enterprise qualifications, regular trucks and disinfection certificates.
"In the last month or so, we have sold more than 111,111 Jin of vegetables from farmers," said Liu Mingbo, the head of the group. "Cars can't get into the village. We contacted farmers in advance to pull the vegetables to the roadside for loading and then bring them back to Zhengzhou for sale. Tomatoes are sold at 3.98 yuan a catty in the supermarket. We take tomatoes from farmers and the freight is less than 2 yuan, and then we sell 2.3 yuan a catty on our group buying applet, which sells very quickly. "
The price of vegetables in the field is upside down with that in the city
"Go with the market", which is what farmers usually say when Chai Xuyang, manager of Wanbang Yuncang, connects with the prices of unsalable vegetables. In the above-mentioned form of "helping Henan farmers to sell vegetables", some farmers wrote "sell below the local market price" in order to get rid of the vegetables hoarded in the field as soon as possible, and some farmers wrote "If there is an enterprise to pull and bear the labor costs, the vegetables will be delivered free of charge."
At the same time, many vegetable merchants reported that the price of vegetables in Zhengzhou is rising. "Farmers sell carrots for 5 to 61 cents a catty, including the loading and packaging fees, but now Zhengzhou City wants to sell 1.4 yuan a catty."
According to Farmers Daily, a survey report released by Beijing Xinfadi Market recently showed that from the end of October to the beginning of October, the street price of vegetables ran counter to the market price trend, and the street price of some categories of vegetables dropped from 1 yuan to a few cents, even a few cents, while the vegetable price in Xinfadi Market increased by 9.13% week-on-week.
"There have been frequent epidemics in Henan in the past two years, and the trapped vegetable farmers even directly said on the WeChat group in the village that whoever needs vegetables should wear masks and go to the field to get them themselves, so they won't sell them." Hou Yanjun described the vegetable growing situation in his hometown village.
in p>2121, the supply of vegetables in Henan province ranked second in China, with a supply of 76.124 million tons, accounting for nearly 11% of the total supply in China, second only to Shandong.
Mr. Zheng, who has been acting as an agent in Guangdong Agricultural Batch Market for a long time, pointed out: "What the market is afraid of now is the mentality of raising prices."
"Henan is a big vegetable growing province, so we should try our best to export unsalable vegetables to the province. If the vegetables cannot be exported for a long time, the price will be affected, and the market transmission effect may gradually appear." Chai Xuyang said.
The National Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives is actively promoting the supply and marketing cooperatives in neighboring provinces such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui to purchase unsalable vegetables in Henan. According to China Supply and Marketing Cooperative Network, as of October 22nd, the national supply and marketing system had purchased about 1,951 tons of various vegetables in Henan, of which 891 tons were sold outside the province. Recently, China Agricultural Products Circulation Brokers Association has also advocated giving full play to the channel advantages of all branches in the country and broadening the vegetable sales channels in Henan.
"I hope to be able to connect with the digestive channels inside and outside the province. If we don't sell it now, wheat can't be sown, which will affect not only the income of this season's vegetables."
