The Oriental Pearl Tower was started on July 31th, 1991 and completed on October 1th, 1994. century avenue starts from the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in the west and ends at Century Park in the east, with a total length of 5 kilometers, which is the first scenic road in China. Century avenue has a total width of 111 meters, including a 31-meter two-way six-speed and two-slow main motor vehicle lane and a 6-meter-wide motor vehicle auxiliary lane on both sides. There is a green isolation belt between the main road and the auxiliary road. The landscape design of century avenue takes the form of asymmetric section, and eight recreation parks are arranged on the sidewalk on the north side of the avenue. Two sculpture squares, as well as leisure sketches and art galleries, have been set up at the intersection of Laoshan Road West and Yanggao Road. Pudong International Airport is located in the coastal areas of Jiangzhen Township, Shiwan Township and Zhuqiao Township in Nanhui County, covering an area of about 32 square kilometers, and the site is about 31 kilometers away from the People's Square in the city center. The first phase of the airport project, with an investment of RMB 12 billion, was completed and put into operation at the end of 1999. The airport can take off and land any large aircraft in the world at present. The second phase of the project aims to build a 4,111m runway in 2115, with an annual passenger throughput of 21 million passengers and a cargo throughput of 751,111 tons. Scenic Spot Nine

The Huangpu River Sightseeing Platform is built on the Huangpu River from Huangpu Park to Xinkaihe, with a total length of about 1,711 meters. The Sightseeing Platform is really built on the flood control wall with an empty box structure extending over the Pujiang River. A sightseeing platform is built on the top of the empty box, and its ground is paved with 141,111 colored floor tiles and granite. There are 32 viewing balconies with semicircular ornamental iron bars and 64 square lamps on the riverside of the sightseeing platform. There are also 21 bowl-shaped flower beds, cylindrical square pavilions and hexagonal pavilions on the sightseeing platform, and artificial marble chairs with different shapes for tourists to rest. On the west side of the sightseeing platform, there is a green belt with evergreen seasons, which has become a green fence wall of the sightseeing platform, which not only ensures the safety of tourists, but also makes them pleasing to the eye.

In the 1991s, the Bund completed the outward movement of flood control wall and comprehensive traffic transformation, and carried out large-scale greening. The green belt on the Bund consists of the greening of the viewing platform (the roof of the corridor of the flood control wall) and the greening of the ground. These two parts of greening are displayed at different elevation levels. The greening elevation of the viewing platform is 6.9 meters, and the greening elevation of the ground is 4.7 meters and 3.5 meters respectively, forming a stepped greening landscape.

Transportation line: 82. In 1884, Xujiahui Observatory, founded by the French Catholic Church, set up a weather signal station on the Bund of "Pidgin" (now the Bund of Yan 'an East Road). The signal station is a long wooden pole standing upright on the ground. According to the weather information from the Observatory, In 1917, a cylindrical meteorological signal was reconstructed. The platform system was 51 meters high and the tower was 36.8 meters high, which was called "Arturopo" architecture. In order to protect this building, in the renovation project of the Bund in 1993, it was moved 21 meters eastward as a whole. The second floor is now a nostalgic time bar.

The Beneficial Building is located at No.4, Zhongshan 1st Road, and now it is Singapore Jiatong Private Investment Co., Ltd. Formerly known as the Union Building, it is owned by the beneficial bank in the United States, so it is called the beneficial bank building. The building was completed in 1916, and the 7-storey building imitates the Renaissance architectural style. The window frames are mostly designed by Baroque art with rotating patterns, and the doors are decorated with columns of Onek. The tall floor-to-ceiling windows are not only conducive to lighting, but also add momentum to the building. The whole building is an axisymmetric figure centered on the door. Therefore, it gives people a peaceful feeling.

Nissin Building is a Nissin Building that blends modern Japanese western architecture with classical architecture, and is known as "Nissin Building". The building was jointly built by Japan Tsingtao Steamboat Co., Ltd. and Jews. It was built in 1925, located at No.5, Dongyi Road, Zhongshan. The building is 6 stories high and covers an area of 1,281 square meters. The bottom three floors are relatively simple in decoration, and the upper three floors have classical columns and carved flowers, which has a strong sense of concavity and convexity. The whole building facade is plastered with granite, which complements other buildings on the Bund. Nissin Building is now used by Huaxia Bank and Jindu Industrial Corporation.

China Commercial Bank In 1916, at No.6 Zhongshan No.1 Road in Shanghai, China people opened their first bank-China Commercial Bank, and now it is the location of Hong Kong Overseas Chinese Welfare International Enterprise Co., Ltd. The building is a pseudo-four-story Gothic building. There are five spires on the fourth floor of the building, and there was originally a cross. There are small minarets on the third and fourth floors. The fourth floor of the building is a pointed window, and the first and second floors are typical Gothic-style lattice windows. The significance of this European-style building, which is about to go through a century, goes far beyond being historic and artistic. It can be said that it marks an opening page in the financial history of China.

Qichang Foreign Firm, as the first new-style shipping enterprise operated by China, was founded during this period. China Merchants was built in 1911. The building is a three-story brick-wood structure with west to east. The main door frame on the ground floor extends outward, with high-open arched floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides of the main entrance, and the second and third floors are decorated with classical columns. Part of the external wall of the building is covered with granite. China Merchants Tower can be regarded as a typical Bund building at the end of 2119 and the beginning of 21 century. No matter whether it is historic or artistic, it is worth visiting. The China Merchants Building of Ship is now the Shanghai Port Supervision Bureau and other units.

HSBC Building In May, 1995, Pudong Development Bank moved into HSBC Building. Before moving in, it was renovated for the third time (the first two were in 1975 and 1981 respectively), and 33 murals were found. Eight of them are 4.3 meters wide and 2.4 meters long, depicting Shanghai, Hongkong, London, Paris, new york and East respectively at the beginning of the century.
