Possible causes of collapse

According to eyewitnesses, Xinjia Hotel almost completely collapsed and the scene was a mess. Some onlookers said that "there are still many people trapped inside."

According to the industrial and commercial information, Xinjia Hotel was registered on March 28th, 2008, and the operator was Yang Jinqiang. Its registered address is South Ring Road 1688, Shangcun Community, Changtai Street, Licheng District, Quanzhou. The fourth to sixth floors of this building are guest rooms.

Through public information retrieval, there are many other enterprises with the same registered address as Xinjia Hotel, including Quanzhou Haochehui Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Haochehui Company), Quanzhou Quandebao Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Quandebao Company), Quanzhou Huabao Automobile Sales & Service Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Huabao Company), Fujian Ding Xin Renewable Resources Recycling Co., Ltd., Xiaohui Restaurant in Licheng District, Jin Quan Restaurant in Licheng District and Qinyue Restaurant in Licheng District.

A person familiar with the matter told Caijing that "the owner rented the first and second floors to a car 4S shop". At the time of the incident, the building was being renovated. Another unconfirmed news said that a 4S shop in the building demolished the load-bearing wall during the renovation, which led to the collapse accident.

As of press time, Caijing reporters contacted the above-mentioned enterprises with the same registered address as Xinjia Hotel for verification many times, but most of the calls went unanswered.

A person from Quandebao Company told Caijing that the accident happened in a steel structure building. After the completion of the 20 13 building, Quandebao Company and Huabao Company were the first companies to invest in the building. He introduced that the original building has seven floors, only the first, sixth and seventh floors have ceilings, and the second floor leads directly to the sixth floor, with no floors in the middle. "Nothing", the seventh floor is the staff dormitory. Around the building, hotels began to be built. From the second floor to the sixth floor, the glass of the office of Quandebao Automobile Company once "exploded five or six pieces" during the construction process. "If reinforced concrete is added to each floor, it will be too heavy." The above-mentioned person said that due to the renovation of the hotel upstairs, Quandebao Company moved out of the building at the end of the year. After Quandebao Company moved out, part of it was converted into the lobby of Xinjia Hotel, and the other part of the space was settled in other enterprises such as Haochehui Company. On March 7th, this person was not surprised to learn that the hotel collapsed, but "I didn't expect it to be so serious when I moved out."
