Admission (pass): 90 yuan from April to 65438+ 10, 75 yuan from 0/0/3. Wutai Mountain, together with Mount Emei, Mount Jiuhua and Mount Putuo, is one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China. Surrounded by five peaks, the peak is flat and wide, hence the name Wutai Mountain. Wutai Mountain is the Dojo of Manjusri Bodhisattva. The five peaks are dedicated to different incarnations of Manjusri Bodhisattva: Wanghaishan in Dongtai, Manjusri in West Taiwan Province, Manjusri in South Taiwan Province, Manjusri in Ye Dou in Beitai Bay and Manjusri in Central Taiwan Province. There are many ancient temples and pagodas on the mountain, all of which show the solemnity and grandeur of Buddhist holy places. There are more than 50 temples in Wutai Mountain, the famous ones are: Xiantong Temple, Tayuan Temple, Bodhisattva Ding, Dailuoding Temple, Guangji Temple and Wanfo Pavilion. These Buddhist temples have been built and repaired in different dynasties, either strictly controlled or soft and gorgeous, reflecting the architectural styles of different times. Wutai Mountain has a long history. Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty, Yang Di, Song Taizong, Yuan Yingzong, Qing Shengzu (Kangxi) and Qing Gaozong (Qianlong) all visited Wutai Mountain. As for the emperors and empresses of past dynasties, there was no interruption from the Northern Wei Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. Because Manjusri Bodhisattva has a special position in Tibetan Buddhism, Tibetans believe that wise monarchs and masters of past dynasties are all incarnations of Manjusri Bodhisattva, so Wutai Mountain is also respected by ethnic minorities in Tibet and Inner Mongolia, and it is the only Dojo in China where Han Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism temples coexist. Wutai Mountain has always been a summer resort, so it is also called "Liang Qing". In summer, the average temperature here is about 10℃ lower than that outside the mountain. The scenery in the mountains is very beautiful. You can watch the sunrise in the sea of clouds in Dongtai. Go to Xitai to enjoy the moon in autumn night; Go to Beitai to see the snow scene; Mount Tai in the south is full of flowers, and Mount Tai in China and Thailand is where the sky is.
