1, Yanshan Reservoir-925 million cubic meters

Speaking of Yanshan Mountain, many people will think of Yanshan Mountains. In fact, the Yanshan Reservoir in Pingdingshan, Henan Province has nothing to do with that Yanshan Mountain, but there is a mountain next to the reservoir called Yanshan Mountain, hence its name.

Yanshan Reservoir is located between Ye County of Pingdingshan City and Fangcheng County of Nanyang City. The project started construction in March 2006 in the upper reaches of Lijiang River, the main tributary of Shaying River in Huaihe River Basin, with a total storage capacity of 925 million cubic meters.

2. Baiguishan Reservoir-922 million cubic meters

Baiguishan Reservoir, located in the southwest of Pingdingshan City, is also called Pingxi Lake. Built in 1958 and completed in 1966. In that year, the total storage capacity was 649 million cubic meters, but in 1998, Baiguishan Reservoir was reinforced and the total storage capacity increased to 922 million cubic meters.

The reservoir is vast in smoke, beautiful in scenery and surrounded by places of interest. The northwest of the reservoir area is the old city of the ancient vassal state, and Ji Fa in the west of Zhou Wuwang takes the eagle as the national emblem, and its fourth son Jack Cater is named here, which is why Pingdingshan is called "Eagle City".

3. Zhaopingtai Reservoir-7130,000 cubic meters

Zhaopingtai Reservoir is located in the west of Lushan County, Pingdingshan City 10 km, also known as Zhaopinghu. It was built in 1958 and basically completed in 1959, with a total storage capacity of 7130,000 cubic meters.

Now, it has been developed into a tourist area, namely Zhaopinghu Scenic Area. According to legend, when Liu Xiu, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, was at war with Wang Mang Kunyang, Liu Xiu built a recruiting platform here after worshiping his ancestor Liu Lei, and Li Zicheng also recruited soldiers here in the late Ming Dynasty, so it was called the recruiting platform. Later, somehow it was changed to Zhao Tai, probably to symbolize peace. The landscape here is excellent, and there are also strange stones in the lake, called Gusao Stone, which attracts many people to punch in.

4. Gushitan Reservoir-65.438+570 million cubic meters

Gushitan Reservoir is located at the junction of Yexian County and Fangcheng County in the upper reaches of Lijiang River. Built in 1958, the dam was closed in 1959. Later, it was built with a total storage capacity of 654.38+57 million cubic meters. It is said that there is a boulder in the reservoir, which is a wonder on the old Li River beach, hence the name.

5. Shimantan Reservoir-65.438+0.2 billion cubic meters

Shimantan Reservoir is located in wugang city, Pingdingshan City, and wugang city is a county-level city. Shimantan is a local tourist attraction. Shimantan National Forest Park has been completed with beautiful scenery, and it is also the first batch of national water conservancy scenic spots.

The reservoir was built in 195 1, which is the first dam for harnessing the Huaihe River in New China. It was later built, with a total storage capacity of10.20 billion cubic meters, mainly for flood control and waterlogging elimination, taking into account the functions of industrial water supply, tourism and aquaculture. It is a large-scale water conservancy project with comprehensive utilization, and it has also been rated as "Top Ten Most Beautiful Lakes in Henan Province", attracting many tourists.
