Over the past eight years, with the care and support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, the provincial government and the Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and under the direct leadership of the school party committee and administration, Zhejiang University Science Park has made great progress in the park's capital construction, the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, the incubation of high-tech enterprises, the cultivation of innovative talents and the radiation of high-tech industries.

Zhejiang university national university science park

At present, Zhejiang University Science Park has accumulated 450 newly registered enterprises with a registered capital of more than 2 billion yuan, including more than 300 technology incubators. The total number of employees in enterprises entering the park exceeds 8,000. In 2008, enterprises entering the park realized an output value of 2 billion yuan and profits and taxes of more than 200 million yuan. The incubation area has grown from 5000 square meters at the beginning to 72000 square meters now (including 68000 square meters in Laoheshan area and 4000 square meters in Qiushi Incubation Building). More than 50 incubating enterprises have graduated from the park and spread to surrounding areas, which has played an important role in promoting local economic development. At the same time, according to the principle of "more points in one park", branch parks will be established in Ningbo, Zhejiang, Changxing and Nanchang, Jiangxi to accelerate the radiation of high-tech industries.
