Although there are links of filtering, refining and even disinfection, I still can't accept it. Maybe it's some personal cleanliness addiction, and it's unacceptable to use what others have eaten.

It is said that the old oil in Chongqing hotpot is no longer boiled with the recovered bottom oil. But unfortunately, there are well-known hot pot restaurants that have been used to recycle oil! Even if it is really changed to disposable oil, it is the oil produced by adding various seasonings to butter and repeatedly boiling it for several hours. However, from the point of view of nutrition, if oil is heated repeatedly, it will destroy the nutrients inside, and it will easily produce all kinds of toxic and harmful carcinogens. Therefore, from my personal point of view, it is still unacceptable.

Of course, some people like the mellow taste of old oil, and think that it will not cause fatal harm to their health if they don't use it in large quantities and often, and eating old oil hot pot will only make them hot and happy.
