Fully implement the network food service third-party platform what responsibility
February 27 morning, the State Council Information Office held a news conference on food and drug safety supervision. Bi Jingquan, director of the Food Safety Office of the State Council and director of the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA), responded to the issue of online food ordering at the conference.

Bi Jingquan pointed out that in 2016, the General Administration of Food and Drug Administration issued the Measures for the Investigation and Handling of Online Food Safety Violations, which focuses on:

Firstly, only licensed brick-and-mortar food and beverage outlets are allowed to accept food ordering online, and those that don't have a brick-and-mortar store can't sell food and beverage products online; food and beverage enterprises must ensure that the quality of the food and beverage products sold online and the quality of the food and beverage products sold in the brick-and-mortar stores are The catering enterprises must ensure that the quality of the catering products sold online and in the physical stores are consistent.

Secondly, the responsibility of the third-party platform for online catering services should be strictly implemented, and the third-party platform should do three things to ensure that: first, to ensure that the license of the catering enterprises displayed on the platform is real, so as to ensure that the offline operator must be a brick-and-mortar store rather than a black workshop. The second is to ensure that food is not contaminated in the process of delivery, because the logistics company delivering the food is chosen and designated by the third-party platform, so it should assume regulatory responsibility in this regard. Third, to ensure that complaints from consumers are handled in a timely manner, because consumers are ordering and paying for their meals on the third-party platform, which is responsible for settlement. So the platform operator should do these three to ensure.

Third, to strengthen the supervision of online food service. Supervisory departments should strengthen the supervision of third-party platforms and offline catering enterprises, and promptly investigate and deal with violations of the above provisions of the law. We welcome consumers and the media to supervise online ordering. Thank you.
