West: toward Lhasa
Mira Pass
For most tourists whose first stop in Tibet is Lhasa, the elevation gradually increases from Lhasa to the east, arriving at the Mira Pass, which is 5,013 meters above sea level, after about 150 kilometers. Mira Pass is a resting point on the Lhasa-Linzhi highway with a wide view and excellent scenery. Mira Mountain is one of the holy mountains in the minds of Tibetans, with long colorful warping streamers hanging over the pass, swaying in the wind under the blue sky and hundreds of clouds. When you stop for a rest, you will find a big stone and three bronze yak statues with the words "Mira Pass 5013 meters above sea level". Don't climb on the yak statues when taking photos.
If you want to go to the toilet, there is a simple squatting toilet at Mira Pass, charging 3 yuan per visit. If you meet Tibetans selling sutra streamers, you don't need to politely refuse.

Basongtso
Basongtso is a famous red religious holy lake of Tibetan Buddhism, located in a canyon near the town of Bahe in Gongbu Jiangda County, Linzhi Region. If you drive from Lhasa to Batson Tso it will take about 7-8 hours, and even if you leave early, it will be afternoon when you arrive here, so the time for sightseeing is quite limited. It is recommended that you leave Lhasa in the morning, stay in Linzhi for one night, and return to Bashongtso and Kadingou the next day. If you really don't want to make a return visit, you can consider going to Gongbu Jiangda County for one night and continue to Bashongmo the next day.
Songcuo Xingchi Street Step Viewing Platform
There is a touch of blue in the green of Songcuo's lake. In the plateau of the green mountains, and the Yangzuo Yong错's beauty is very different, just like a "small Switzerland". The tour bus stops at three places: the first is Hu Xin Island, where there is a Tso Zong Gongba Temple; the second is the observation deck, the view is very good, you can shoot postcard-level scenery. The third is Stuttering Village, a quiet Tibetan village with few tourists.
Tickets: 120 yuan in high season (May-October), 60 yuan in low season (November-April), 50 yuan, sightseeing bus, one attraction. Sightseeing tickets must be purchased together.
Transportation: it is recommended to drive from Lhasa or charter a bus from Linzhi Bayi Town. You can take a shuttle bus from Linzhi bus station to Gongbu Jiangda county, get off at Bahe town halfway, and then look for a local Tibetan private car to Batson Tso. There is a lot of uncertainty about your transportation.

Dinggou
It is not far from Linzhi, and is in the same direction as Balsongtso, so you can carpool with Balsongtso. Similarly, if you come from Lhasa, leaving here in the morning will take the afternoon, so it is not recommended to visit on the day of departure. In Linzhi Bayi town to live one night is more appropriate, the next morning and then chartered a car to visit the whole day.
Kading Gully, also known as Kading Tianfo Waterfall Forest Scenic Spot, is not big inside, all the tour an hour to get there. The scenic area is dominated by granite canyon scenery, the biggest attraction is the 200-meter-high Tianfo Waterfall. The water mist from the waterfall falls and bounces up, penetrating the greenery below. On the rock wall of the waterfall, there are naturally formed Buddha statues, as well as naturally formed abstract Buddhist landscapes such as lamas chanting sutras, turtles calling for heaven, and ghee lamps.

You can have a good view of Namcha Barwa Peak from Namcha Barwa Viewing Platform, but Zhitong Village deep in the canyon is the best place to view Namcha Barwa Peak nearby. Be mentally prepared when you come. This snow-capped mountain is invisible all year round and depends on luck. Many times it is half hidden. The entrance fee for the road trip includes a buffet lunch. It takes 3 hours to complete the entire tour.
Surface Transportation: Surface transportation is also divided into two types: "boat-in-vehicle-out" and "vehicle-in-vehicle-out". The starting point of "boat in car out" is Niangou ferry terminal, where you can take a boat to visit the scenery on both sides of the canyon. Yarlung Tsangpo River Grand Canyon

Nangou is located in the south of Milin County, known as the "Tibetan Medicine King Valley", "the highest green secret world on earth", "China's green peaks of forest baths ". You can learn about the Baro culture in this complete plateau primitive forest. Since Nanyi Gou is located at the China-India border, you must bring your ID card with you and there will be checkpoints on the way to check your ID card. Nanyi Gou is more than 40 kilometers deep, and you can take the scenic sightseeing bus to stay and play in five places, including Baro Ethnic Village, Nanyi River Viewing Platform, and Primitive Forest Trail. In this "forest park" on the plateau, walk along the trestle of the plateau pasture. In June and July, it is a green kingdom. In the fall, the forest is as colorful as Jiuzhaigou.

East: Bomi County Direction
Bomi County, located in the eastern part of Linzhi, is a bit far away, but the scenery along the way is no less beautiful. Not far from the town of East Bayi, you come to the village of Gala, which is an important village to see the peach blossom festival every spring. To the south of Linzhi town, there is Bensheng Mountain - Bensheng Mountain, and further north is the entrance of Sedera Mountain, which is the best place to see Namcha Barwa Peak from afar. After crossing the Sedera Pass, you can reach the Lulang Forest Sea, and after crossing the Bomi County east of Lulang Town, you can reach the Midu Glacier, which is about 300 kilometers away from Bayi Town. Serra Pass
On the way from Bayi Township of Linzhi (2,900 meters above sea level) to Lulang Station, you need to cross over the Sera Mountain, and you can take a short break when you arrive at the entrance of Sera Mountain (4,728 meters above sea level). Sera Pass is the best place to view Namcha Barwa Peak

Lulang Forest Sea, although the scenic area, but less man-made factors, still maintains the original appearance of the plateau mountain meadows. Linhai is about 15 kilometers long and 1 kilometer wide on average. The trees in Linhai are mainly composed of spruce and pine. Winding streams run through the meadows below the sea of forests, and the snow-capped mountains and fields in the distance form a fresh and tranquil paradise on earth.
Driving up National Highway 318 you can see some of the Lulang Ranch (Lulang Linhai). There are also several viewpoints along the way overlooking the magnificent forests and meadows. If you don't want to pay, you can also stop and watch from other roadsides along the way. There are also very good views. It is more recommended to enter the Lulang Forest Sea Scenic Area than the viewing platforms. Green mountain pastures, streams and fences of the "Oriental Switzerland" beauty, is a Linzhi one of a kind!

Benri Sacred Mountain Tourist Area - Niyang River Scenic Belt
Benri Sacred Mountain and Niyang River Scenic Belt are both located in the south of Linzhi Township. On the way to Miri Township, the Yangni River Scenic Belt is in the Benri Divine Mountain Tourist Area, surrounded by a huge Benri Divine Mountain.
Linzhi's mother river, Yangni River, was left behind by icebergs more than 5,000 meters above sea level. The scenic belt of Yangni River starts from Dazhe Village in Linzhi County and ends at Demusi Temple in Mirui Township, which is a necessary route to and from the Grand Canyon of the Yarlung Tsangpo River. Along the Mirei Highway, there are not only beautiful scenery, but also wonderful attractions such as Daze Monastery, Benji Divine Spring, the confluence of the two rivers (Yangni and Yarlung Tsangpo), Mudi Cliff Rock Carving, and Demu Monastery. If you have enough time, you can experience Yangni River rafting.
When you come to Miri Township, you actually come to the foot of Mt. Benjamin. The Benjamin Mountain is an important mountain worshipped by the followers of Benbo. Most of the villagers at the foot of the mountain are followers of Benjaminism. In order to eliminate sins and various diseases, the believers will turn the mountain on time. The direction of Ben Buddhism turning the mountain is counterclockwise to the general yellow religion. There is also a Demu Monastery near Mire Township, where you can experience the Benzo religion.

Midu Glacier
Midu Glacier was selected as "one of the six most beautiful glaciers in China" by National Geographic China. It is the largest marine glacier in Tibet. The ticket office of Migdui Glacier is located on the side of National Highway 318, about 330 kilometers away from Linzhi Bayi Town. To reach the glacier, you have to go to Midu Village at the foot of the mountain. The ticket office is 6.5 kilometers away from Midu Village, and the road condition is not very good. The road is not in good condition. From Midu Village, continue southward for 2.5 kilometers to reach the glacier viewing platform. When you come to this place where Miguicun is located, you can see the vast landscape where glaciers, lakes, farmland, villages and forests converge. Due to the long distance, there are few group tours from Lhasa or Linzhi to Midu Glacier. If you want to see the magnificent view of the glacier, you can go to Bomi County first and then charter a bus.

How to get to Linzhi

Linzhi Miling Airport is located in Miling County, 50 kilometers south of Bayi Town in Linzhi. There are not many flights to and from it every day. If you want to fly, the most convenient way is from Chengdu. There are 2-3 flights per day, and other cities basically have 1 flight per day or 2 days. Linzhi Passenger Transportation Center is located in Bayi Town, which is the transportation hub of Linzhi area. You can take a bus to Linzhi from Lhasa East Suburb Passenger Transportation Station. The ticket price is about 100 yuan, and the price of commercial cars and SUVs is about 150 yuan per person.
Linzhi Passenger Transportation Center also has many shuttles to the surrounding counties, such as Miling County, Lang County, Bomi County, Paixiang, and Chashu.
Go to Linzhi with a group.
Touring Linzhi with a group is the most hassle-free way. If the group departs from a city outside Tibet, such as up north, Linzhi is usually only a small part of the itinerary, and will also be linked with Lhasa and neighboring attractions (e.g. Namtso, Yanghu, etc.). , which will take longer and cost more. It is recommended that you can fly to Lhasa first and join the tour from Lhasa.

If you don't follow the group, renting a car or chartering a car is a good choice. The time is flexible, and you can stop and take pictures anytime on the road. The cost of chartered car is determined by the model and attractions. Generally, the price of a 4-person buggy is 4-5 yuan/kilometer, and the price of a 6-9-person business car is about the same. There are also some cars that charge by the day, such as 1000RMB/day, which can seat 4 people, and 250RMB/day for the average person. General charter fuel costs, bridge and road tolls. The driver's accommodation is usually borne by the passengers, and you can negotiate with the driver. When is the best time to travel
The tourist season in Linzhi is mainly based on natural scenery, so the seasonal factor is especially important to the quality of the tour. The best times for sightseeing are March-April and September-October.

Spring in March is one of the peak tourist seasons in Linzhi. The famous Linzhi Peach Blossom Festival is held in mid to late March every year. The most famous place to view peach blossoms is Recess Peach Blossom Village, and peach blossoms can also be seen in many other places.
May-early June
This is the time when the rainy season has not yet officially arrived, and it is the season when rape and rhododendron are in full bloom. You can see more rapeseed flowers in the fields of the mountains, and you can also see azaleas in the mountains through the Sedera Mountains. There is also the Linzhi Yellow Peony Festival in early June, which can be seen in both Zaigonggou and Nanyigou.
Mid-June to August
Generally speaking, June-August is the rainy season in Linzhi. The rainfall is the highest throughout the year and the climate is relatively humid.National Highway 318 is prone to natural disasters. During this time, Linzhi is still a green world, but with too much rain, the Yangni River can become muddy and turbulent, making it more difficult to see the full view of Namcha Barwa Peak. Except for Yangni and the Yarlung Tsangpo River Grand Canyon, other sites without river views, such as Lulang Forest Sea and Nanyigou, remain in their most vivid green color.
September-October
This season is again the peak tourist season in Linzhi, with less rain and a high probability of seeing Namcha Barwa Peak. But at the same time, gradually entering the fall of Linzhi, the forest pastures slowly faded green coat. At this time, visiting the Yarlung Tsangpo River Grand Canyon and Yangni River Scenic Zone has a unique charm.
