Hot rolled ordinary thin steel plate can be divided into ordinary thin steel plate, pickled thin steel plate, roofing plate, oil drum plate, patterned steel plate, steel plate for shipbuilding and automotive steel plate, etc. according to its different uses.

1) hot-rolled ordinary thin steel plate (GB912-89, GB708-88)

Hot-rolled ordinary thin steel plate is commonly known as black iron, because the surface of the steel plate is cloudy blue-black and named.

(1) main purpose

Mainly used in the manufacture of surface quality requirements are not high, do not need deep punching processing of products, such as ventilation ducts, machinery enclosures, switch boxes, filing cabinets, etc., but also commonly used as welded pipes and cold-formed steel blanks. Widely used in various industrial sectors.

(2) material grade and chemical composition

Conforms to the provisions of GB700-88 carbon structural steel chemical composition and GB700-79 (ordinary carbon structural steel technical conditions).

Conform to the provisions of GB700-88 and GB700-79 (ordinary carbon structural steel technical conditions).

(4) steel plate specifications, dimensions and production units

Steel plate dimensions in line with the provisions of GB709 (attached to the plate class after). Thickness order group spacing: 0.5-0.6, 0.7-0.8, 0.9-1.0, 12-1.25, 1.4-1.5, 1.75-2 and 2.5-4 (mm).

2) Pickled thin steel plate (YB178-65)

The pickled thin steel plate is made of low carbon ordinary steel plate by annealing and pickling. Because of the annealing and pickling treatment, remove the surface oxidation layer, so that the surface is bright white, stamping performance is also improved, this steel plate is suitable for manufacturing requirements for better surface quality, need to be stamped but the strength requirements are not high products.

Acid-washed thin steel plate according to its surface quality can be divided into Ⅰ, Ⅱ two groups; according to the depth of its cupping can be divided into ordinary (P) and deep-drawn (S) two levels.

(1)Main application

Mainly used in such as buzzer shells, torch shells, instrument shells, lamp ports, automobile brake drums and so on.

(2) Steel plate specifications and dimensions

The thickness of the steel plate is 0.25-2mm.

3) oil drums with thin steel plate (GB3276-89)

(1) the main purpose

Specialized in the manufacture of 200L (liters) and other oil drums of the barrel body, lid and bottom.

(2) Material grade and chemical composition

The material of thin steel plate for oil drums is made of ordinary carbon structural steel of 2# and 3# sedentary steel grades (in accordance with the provisions of GB700) and high quality carbon structural steel of 08, 10 steel.
