If we regard this as a form, it is equivalent to not setting boundaries for our own practices and letting them develop freely. Just like children don't go to school, the chances of success are not zero, but very small. We can't say what we have achieved, but I am sure that before we die, we are all ordinary people, and we must abide by the laws of the country, the etiquette of laymen and the precepts of practitioners. Just because a person breaks the law, it cannot be said that he will never be a useful person, nor can it be said that he has been ill-educated all his life because he has lost his manners. I think initiation is just a ceremony, and everything depends on what kind of heart you treat it with. Voluntarily becoming a Buddhist disciple and practicing according to the teachings of Buddhism is not to gain the recognition of Buddhists and Bodhisattvas, but to constantly purify and improve themselves. Then formally accept the conversion, get a certificate, and have a legal identity, which will naturally raise the requirements for yourself, so as to gradually make more good relationships and clean up your karma. I often misunderstand some things shown by the great virtuous monks, such as empty talk and mind cultivation, but I don't know that mind cultivation comes before mind cultivation. What's the use of a temple if everything is as it is said upstairs? What's the use of discipline? What's the use of practicing? Once you have a person, you should practice it step by step according to your own practice. Look at the "Cattle-herding Map" in Dazu Stone Carvings! What we are talking about is exactly the step that people have taken in practice. Without the traction of the shepherd boy and the guidance of the Buddha, it is difficult to become a Buddha by yourself. I strongly suggest that the landlord go to the temple to find a predestined relationship guru and formally convert to our school.
