How much to recycle used motor oil

As a necessity for your car, oil should be changed on time every year. A car in normal use should be changed at least once a year, discharging nearly four liters of used oil each time. This used oil is useless and even harmful to us car owners, so it is basically given directly to the service station for disposal. So where do repair stations get so much waste oil from? What is the use of used oil? How much can you sell it for?

First of all, it should be clear that if waste oil is discarded randomly, it can easily cause serious pollution to the environment. Once some heavy metals seep into the soil, it will not recover for a long time, and nothing will grow for decades. Because used motor oil is also motor oil and chemical reagents, it will be contaminated. The state manages used motor oil as hazardous waste. If you dump it or throw it away, you may be criminally detained for violating the "crime of polluting the environment", so the service station will not throw it away.

Currently, the market price for recycled used oil is about the same. The price depends mainly on the "appearance" of the waste oil. If the waste oil is black, the price is usually 3 yuan a kilogram. If the waste oil is lighter in color, it means that the waste oil is of higher quality and has a greater value for use, and the recycling price is much higher, generally 5 yuan a kilogram. So what is the use of this waste oil?

In the past, recycled used motor oil was generally used as fuel for oil-fired boilers, which is a cheap fuel. But the burning of motor oil produces a lot of harmful substances, which can pollute the air body. Therefore, some improvements have been made. Nowadays, motor oil is recycled and regenerated, and some of it may be processed and blended into inferior diesel fuel and lubricating oil, which is the main source of fake motor oil.

The most reliable recycling method is to re-refine the waste oil into transparent base oil after dehydration, deslagging, distillation and other steps, and then add additives in accordance with the standards to become qualified oil before putting it on the market for sale. This method is the best "destination" for waste oil, but this recycling method can only recover 20% of the oil, and we hope that there will be a better way to deal with it in the future.
