Thesis opening Format of the report (general)
Overview
Because the opening report is the general idea of the thesis embodied in words, it does not need to be too large in length, but it should make clear the main issues such as the topic of the planned research, how it will be researched, and the theoretical application of the report, and it should contain two parts: a general description and an outline.
General
The general description of the opening report should be the first part of the selected topic, and briefly explain the purpose of the selected topic, the current research on related topics, theories applicable to the research methodology, necessary data and so on.
Outline
The outline of the paper contained in the opening report may be roughly organized, a basic framework for a research idea. It may be in the form of a full sentence or paragraph outline. At the opening stage, the purpose of the outline is to make clear the basic framework of the paper, and there is no need for it to be as detailed as the paper's table of contents.
