He told reporters that up to now, 31 cities in the region have launched emergency plans according to the forecast results, and implemented large-scale emergency linkage to cope with heavily polluted weather. Among them, 14 cities including Shijiazhuang, Hebei, Zhengzhou, Henan and Linfen, Shanxi started the red warning of heavy pollution, 12 cities including Jinan, Shandong and Taiyuan, Shanxi started the orange warning, and 4 cities including Binzhou, Shandong started the blue warning.
