For food, the Green Olympics concept actually integrates the safety of the entire process of food production, processing, distribution and consumption with "green". In the process of building the Green Olympics, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games has built and is building a large number of green food raw material bases, processing bases and logistics, distribution and circulation systems, which to a large extent greatly improves the overall level of supervision of China's food safety, and vigorously promotes the construction of China's food standardization system, credit system construction and so on. 1. Beijing Olympic Food Safety Expert Committee composed of experts
In order to guarantee the food safety of the Beijing Olympic Games, the Beijing Olympic Food Safety Expert Committee was specially set up by 15 Chinese and foreign experts, and the main work of the committee is to: provide consultation, suggestions and guiding opinions on the food safety work of the Beijing Olympic Games; guide and participate in the formulation of " 2008 Beijing Olympic Food Safety Action Plan"; guide the implementation of the action plan; participate in the analysis and evaluation of food safety information during the Olympic Games; participate in the evaluation of food safety emergencies during the Olympic Games.
The foreign experts who have been directly involved in the food safety work of the Barcelona, Sydney and Athens Olympics and the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics are eight, including the head of food safety of the World Health Organization, as well as officials from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and professors from Auburn University. And there are seven domestic experts, respectively, from the Chinese Center for Disease Control, the State General Administration of Sports Sports Medicine, the National Center for Doping Inspection, Beijing Sport University, Beijing Food Association, Beijing Food Society, Beijing large activities to protect the center and other research institutions and departments.
This also marks the start of the Beijing Olympic Food Safety Action Plan. The supply of raw materials for Olympic food, food safety control measures in key areas and counter-terrorism of Olympic food are all included in the plan.
