GB14881 "General Hygienic Standard for Food Production" stipulates the following:
5.1.2 Drainage facilities
5.1.2.1 Drainage systems should be designed and constructed to ensure that the drainage is smooth, easy to clean and maintain; should be adapted to the needs of food production, to ensure that the food and the production of water for cleaning is not contaminated.
5.1.2.2 The inlet of the drainage system should be equipped with devices such as floor drains with water seals to prevent solid waste from entering and turbidity from escaping.
5.1.2.3 Drainage system outlets should have appropriate measures to reduce the risk of infestation.
5.1.2.4 Indoor drainage should flow from areas of high cleanliness to areas of low cleanliness and should be designed to prevent backflow.
5.1.2.5 Wastewater shall be treated in a manner appropriate to meet national wastewater discharge regulations prior to discharge.
