Nepal is very convenient to exchange foreign exchange. There are exchange shops and hotels all over the street, and the exchange rate difference is not too much. U.S. dollars, Hong Kong dollars and RMB are all convertible, about 1 U.S. dollars is 75 rupees, 1 Hong Kong dollars is 9.8 rupees, and 1 RMB is 9 rupees.
1. Visa:
The certificate signed by the customer at the Beijing Consulate, 255 yuan, can be taken the next day.
2. Transportation:
Bus from Guangzhou to Hong Kong, starting from Garden Hotel, 265 yuan one way.
The round-trip air ticket from Hong Kong to Nepal booked in Hong Kong is RMB-4,430 (including airport tax), but it is said that booking one month in advance can reduce RMB 65,438+0,000, which can offset all accommodation and meals in Nepal.
There are many buses from Kathmandu to Boccara. We took the SwistTravel company, which was quite clean, with a one-way price of 300 rupees. Taxis in Nepal are more expensive. The starting price of taxis in Boccara is about 70-80 rupees, and the starting price of taxis from Boccara to NAYAPUL, the starting point of hiking, is 500-700 rupees. As for Du Jia, I don't know much about it because of my limited stay. We rented a hotel taxi and spent a day in Kadu Valley, which cost us $22.
3. Accommodation:
Generally, a hotel double room with hot water and private bathroom is about $5 a night (including tax), which needs to be bargained. The cabin on foot is much cheaper, but it is relatively simple. Generally, there is no separate bathroom, so you must eat in the same cabin, otherwise the house price will at least double. We stayed in Houlle for the first night at the price of 100 rupees, in GHOREPANI for the second night at the price of 140 rupees, and in Ganduri for the third night. We were a little corrupt and asked for a room with a private bathroom at the price of 300 rupees. It is recommended that there is an exquisite garden in the majestic house by the lake of Boccara. The boss is very kind and the room decoration is tasteful. We stay at $5 a night.
4. Catering:
Nepalese restaurants are mainly western food, as well as Chinese food, Indian food and local Nepalese food. There are many choices. A breakfast set meal is about 150-200 rupees, and dinner is only 200-300 rupees. The LEXMAN restaurant in Boccara has first-class service, good taste and reasonable price, which is worth recommending. The Everest steak in THAMEL, Kathmandu has been introduced, and it is really good. RS300 can eat a big authentic steak.
Generally, you can't drink local water, a bottle of bottled water RS20.
Drinks in the mountains are 50% more expensive than those in the mountains-100%. The catering is similar, but it is basically RS 150-250.
5. Entertainment:
Boccara rowed for half a day at 250 rupees, and rowed for 350 rupees a day. If you want to hire a boatman, you have to pay extra, which seems to be 80 rupees per hour. Rent a bicycle, about 30 rupees per hour.
We choose to walk for 4 days, and the mountaineering license is RS2000. The longer the journey, the more expensive it is. If you need to hire a porter, it is usually 300 rupees a day, and the porter's room and board are not required. Generally speaking, porters can't speak English, and the guide of porters who know a little English is more expensive. A pure tour guide is much more expensive, about 10- 12 dollars a day.
Take BUDDA AIR's 19 small plane in Kathmandu to see Mount Everest USD 109. Although expensive, it's worth it. In addition, domestic airport tax of RS 165 is required. I have to pay the international airport tax 1 100 rupees when I return to Hong Kong.
Tickets for scenic spots: 250 rupees for Dubai Square in Kathmandu, 50 rupees for Giant Tower, 200 rupees for Patan, 750 rupees for Badugang and 50 rupees for China passport. Besides, if you see an ascetic with oil paint on his forehead, be careful. They will squeeze your money in various ways, such as drawing a TIKA (red dot) on your forehead or enticing you to take pictures. The quotation may be 200 rupees at a time, but in fact, you can give some change at will.
6. communication:
Surf RS2 for one minute in Boccara, and some Internet cafes have Chinese input. It is said that Canada is much cheaper. Call China every minute 120- 180. Mobile phones have no internet in Nepal.
point out
There is generally no need to tip in Nepal. The only time we gave it was to our porter. After four days' trekking, each porter gave five dollars.
8. Shopping:
This is a bottomless pit. In short, it can be greatly reduced. Don't be fooled by the boss. Don't use the standard of RMB or USD to count local goods, because the local living standard is low, and 500 rupees is already a lot of money. We have been treated as water fish many times. I hope you won't repeat our mistakes.
The general market is as follows:
There is a beautiful hand-embroidered cushion, RS 100-200. Lantern made of paper or cloth, one RS 100- 150. Shawl, 300-500 rupees. Hand-embroidered T-shirt RS200-300, embroidered with your own name. A postcard RS 10-25. CDs are more expensive, 200-400 rupees each. There are many bookstores and you can find many good books. If you find a lonely planet or Frommer's book about Nepal, you can safely throw away all the online patchwork strategies. Of course, it is also included in the next one.
