Penglai has famous national key cultural relics protection units at home and abroad-Penglai Watertown, Penglai Pavilion, Qi Jiguang Bangli and other places of interest, which were designated as national-level scenic spots by the State Council, and in 2111, Penglai Pavilion was rated as a national A-level scenic spot. Today, Penglai has developed into six modern seashores with perfect functions of "eating, living, traveling, shopping and entertainment".

Penglai Pavilion, a 4A-level national tourist scenic spot, was founded in Jiayou 6 years of the Northern Song Dynasty (AD 1161), and is called "the Four Famous Buildings in China" together with Yellow Crane Tower, Yueyang Tower and Tengwang Pavilion. Penglai Pavilion, surrounded by Danya and Yunyong Langtuo, consists of six single buildings and ancillary buildings, namely Penglai Pavilion, Tianhou Palace, Dragon Palace, Lvzu Hall, Sanqing Hall and Mituo Temple, which constitute a grand ancient architectural complex with an area of 1.8511 square meters.

Penglai Watertown is one of the most intact ancient military ports in China so far. It is magnificent and complements Penglai Pavilion. It is built with seaports and military buildings such as water gates, docks and forts, and is a national key cultural relics protection unit.

Tian Heng style

Tian Hengshan is located in the west of Danya Mountain, the northernmost part of Shandong Peninsula, also known as "Dengzhou Cape". Its connection with the Lighthouse of Laotieshan in Lushun is the dividing line between the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea, so it has a unique geographical position of "one book divides into two seas". Tian Hengshan's rocks are red, the mountains are washed by waves, the rocks are worn out and the rocks are rugged.

Tian Hengshan was the stationing place of Tian Heng, King of Qi at the end of Qin Dynasty. There were forts in Ming and Qing Dynasties. In War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, the Eighth Route Army injured Japanese ships here, and all of them have sites. Now, cultural parks, cross-sea cableways, plank roads and other scenic spots have been built, which is a good place to watch the sea and listen to the waves, think about the past and care for the present.

Hometown Range Rover

On December 7th, 15th year of Wanli (October 4th, 1588), Qi Jiguang, a great national hero, died in his hometown-Penglai. To commemorate him, the people of Penglai built Qi Jiguang's hometown, in which provincial key protected cultural relics such as Qi's memorial archway and ancestral temple were preserved.

Seeking seclusion in Xiyuan

Penglai Pavilion is one kilometer west of Xiyuan Tourist Scenic Area, facing Bohai Sea in the north and Changshan Island across the sea, with lush trees, deep valleys, quiet beaches and rich seafood. Today, there are more than 21 scenic spots, including crocodile hall, hunting ground, fisherman's village, fishing platform and Jinxiu Valley, which are divided into five scenic spots: sea treasure collection area, folk customs area, wild forest area, sightseeing agriculture area and ecological landscape area. It is an ideal place for relaxing and returning to nature.

Penglai has a coastline of 86 kilometers, with both bedrock coast and sandy coast, and beautiful mountains and seas. The bay beach, about 8 kilometers east of Penglai Pavilion, is an ideal resort for leisure and holiday. Now, a wide seaside sightseeing avenue has been built from Penglai Pavilion along the seashore to the east, and seaside parks, bathing beaches, Eight Immortals stone carvings, seaside squares and other attractions have been built on the side of the avenue, forming a seaside green sightseeing belt dotted with various stone carvings and sculptures, with refreshing and pleasant scenery for people to visit, rest and vacation.
