Gui Jiang, one of the first-class tributaries of Xijiang River system, the main stream of the Pearl River Basin, whose upstream Darong River originates from Maoershan (Huajiang Township, Xing 'an), the first peak in Guangxi, and flows south to Rongjiang Town to join Lingqu, which is called Lijiang River. Then it flows through lingchuan county, Guilin, Yangshuo County to Pingle County, and flows into Lipu River, which is called Gui Jiang. Then it flows through Zhaoping County, Cangwu County to Wuzhou City, and flows into Jiangxun River, the main stream of Xijiang River. Gui Jiang Estuary is the dividing point between Jiang Xun section and Xijiang section of Xijiang main stream. The total length is 426 kilometers, and the drainage area is 19288 square kilometers. There are many rapids and dangerous beaches in Gui Jiang, so it is feasible for shallow water boats to reach Pingle, and it can reach Guilin in flood season.
