Tagou Wushu School of Shaolin Temple in Dengfeng City, Henan Province is located at the foot of Songshan Mountain in Zhongyue, in the Shaolin Wushu City in the west of Dengfeng City. The school was founded on 1978. After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Mr. Liu Baoshan, a national Wushu Baduan who was born in a martial arts family with seven generations under one roof, overcame many difficulties such as lack of funds, lack of venues, lack of teaching materials, poor equipment and so on by virtue of his persistent belief in promoting Shaolin Wushu and his keen vision for developing Wushu, and founded Tagou Martial Arts School in Shaolin Temple. Over the past 25 years, with the concern of party committees and governments at all levels and the strong support of all walks of life, the school has gone through several stages: from small to large, from humble to perfect, from single to comprehensive. After continuous rolling development, from the initial three thatched houses and three-point threshing floor, there were only a dozen students, and now the construction area has reached more than 6.5438+0.9 million square meters, and the scale of teachers and students has reached 6.5438+0.6 million. Today, the school covers an area of 520,000 square meters. Students in school1more than 4000 people. The school has a strong faculty, with more than 2,000 faculty members, including more than 450 professional martial arts coaches and more than 460 cultural teachers. The teaching facilities are perfect, with 270,000 square meters of training ground, 15 large-scale training rooms and more than 200 cultural classrooms. In addition, it is equipped with various advanced teaching facilities such as multimedia classroom, language lab, physiological laboratory and microcomputer room. The curriculum of civil and military teaching is reasonable and complete: Wushu teaching includes routines, Sanda, boxing, taekwondo, Wushu performance and other majors, with 350 Wushu teaching hours; Culture teaching has formed a perfect pedagogy system from full-time kindergarten, primary school, middle school to university; Approved by the Ministry of Education, the school has an international teaching center, which can recruit foreign students. With the approval of higher authorities, the school established Shaolin Middle School and Songshan Shaolin Wushu Vocational College in 2004. Shaolin Middle School is an ordinary middle school that studies culture full-time. Songshan Shaolin Wushu Vocational College is the first martial arts college in China to implement higher education and cultivate high-quality martial arts talents. Now Tagou Martial Arts School has developed into a large-scale private martial arts school integrating literature and martial arts teaching.
Over the years, the school has always adhered to the tenet of "paying equal attention to civil and military affairs, having both ability and political integrity, spreading Shaolin's true merits and cultivating new people" and attached great importance to the all-round development of students. Up to now, the school has participated in more than 430 international Wushu competitions and national, provincial and municipal Wushu competitions, and won 3,594 medals, including gold 1.646. He won 94 individual championships in international, intercontinental competitions and world-class championships, and won 2 15 championships in national large-scale Wushu competitions. He won the national large-scale Wushu competition 18 team champion and the Henan Sanda Competition 17 team champion in succession. In June 2004, Li Yonghong, a student of our school, participated in the second World Cup Wushu Sanda Competition and won the women's 48kg gold medal. The professional boxing team kept the unbeaten record of boxing matches in Henan Province for 1 1 year. Since the establishment of professional taekwondo team 10, it has been the champion of all previous competitions in Henan Province. Team members Chen Weigang,,, Shi, and Huang Zhi won gold medals in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th World Wushu Championships, while Li Mingfeng, Ke Rongliang and Zhang Yujie won gold belts in the competitions between China, the United States, China, Japan and China and South Korea. In the first World Traditional Wushu Festival held in Zhengzhou in 2004, 17 members of the school participated in Wushu competitions on behalf of Henan, Sichuan, Jiangxi, Zhengzhou and Yugoslavia, Israel, New Zealand and other countries, and won the first prize in the collective project, 2 1 in the individual, 8 second prizes and 6 third prizes, which made due contributions to the promotion and development of traditional Wushu in China. In June 2004, Li Yonghong, Ni Chunqiu and Zhang Shuaike won the second World Cup. At present, the school has been identified as Henan Sanda training base and Zhengzhou heavy competitive sports training base. Because the school attaches importance to cultural learning, highlights the characteristics of Wushu and requires students to develop in an all-round way, over the past 20 years, it has trained more than 25,000 Wushu talents for the society, trained a large number of first-class Wushu athletes for the country, sent a large number of students to major sports colleges, and sent a large number of coaches and players to Wushu schools and professional teams all over the country, making positive contributions to promoting Chinese Wushu and developing sports.
Cultural teaching is set up in strict accordance with the syllabus issued by the Ministry of Education, and the learning content is standardized. In order to improve the teaching quality, the school attaches great importance to the construction of teachers. Through the news media, a large number of old teachers with rich teaching experience and young teachers with undergraduate and junior college degrees have been hired by open recruitment. A well-organized team of professional teachers has been formed. Due to our long-term adherence to the formal and systematic comprehensive education and the emphasis on popularizing quality education, students have achieved all-round development in morality, intelligence and physical education. Since 1986, our school has been in a leading position in cultural courses and has been rated as "first-class advanced teaching unit" by the competent authorities for years. In 2004, the school was awarded two honors by the superior: "Advanced Unit for Running Schools by Social Forces" and "Special Award for Comprehensive Evaluation of Teaching Work".
The school Wushu Art Troupe has made remarkable achievements in promoting and disseminating Shaolin Wushu. The art troupe has performed on CCTV for many times, and often performs in major political, economic and cultural activities in various provinces and cities. In 2003 and 2004, he participated in the Spring Festival Gala of CCTV, and performed martial arts programs such as "Happy New Year on the Chinese Zodiac" and "Hero Little Nezha". In 2005, the school art troupe participated in the Spring Festival Gala for the third time, performed the martial arts drama Top Gun, and won the second prize of the song and dance program of the Spring Festival Gala. In August, 2004, 30 members of the Art Troupe participated in the artistic performance of China Olympic Art Troupe at the closing ceremony of the 28th Olympic Games in Athens, winning glory for our country and Henan. On June 5438+ 10, 2004, at the "First World Traditional Wushu Festival" held in Zhengzhou, Tagou Wushu School dispatched13,000 teachers and students to participate in the performance of the large-scale literary evening at the opening ceremony and the martial arts performance of the welcome event of Longteng Shaolin in Dengfeng, which left a very deep impression on domestic and foreign audiences. In 2005, the school participated in the Wulin Wind Sanda Challenge of Henan TV Station and won the final championship. At the commendation meeting, he donated 70,000 yuan to Henan Charity Federation.
Over the years, more than 800 news media at home and abroad have visited the school, filmed more than 340 feature films, published more than a thousand reports, and assisted in filming more than 100 films. Known by many media as "the educational pearl of China Wushu", Xinhua News Agency reported on the school with the reputation of "the first martial arts school in the world".
Tagou Wushu School was commended by the provincial and municipal governments for its achievements and contributions. Won the titles of "Top Ten Units", "Five Excellent Schools" and "Civilized Units" in the province, as well as honors such as "Outstanding Contribution Award" and "Enlightenment Coach Gold Award". In 2004, head coach Liu Haike and other four people also won the "National Sports Medal of Honor". Jiang Chunyun, former member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and vice chairman of the National People's Congress, the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, vice chairman of the National People's Congress, Wang Zhaoguo, former director of the State Sports Commission, Li Menghua, deputy director and party secretary of the State Sports General Administration, Li Zhijian, chairman of the Chinese Wushu Association, and relevant leaders from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Land and Resources, the All-China Women's Federation and various provinces and cities all came to guide the work.
In order to meet the needs of the new form, the school strives to build it into a modern comprehensive school integrating cultural teaching, martial arts training, sports competition, sports research and sightseeing in the near future, and become a research center of Shaolin martial arts culture and a training base for martial arts talents at home and abroad. At the same time, the school will go abroad and run schools abroad, so that China Wushu can be carried forward in the world and contribute to better spreading Chinese excellent traditional culture to the people all over the world.
