World-class grassland-Karajun: Karajun grassland, which means "black wilderness" in Kazakh. Everything here is primitive, and there are no tourist facilities.
Karajun Mountain runs through it, extending from east to west, with a total length of 42 kilometers. It is 25 kilometers wide, connecting capps Langgou in the north and Qiongkushitai in the south. The altitude is between 2000 and 2800 meters. The total area is 1.050 km2, of which the grassland area is 230,000 mu, belonging to Gaozhongshan Ranch, with a capacity of1.50,000 heads. Comb valleys on both sides of the main peak are densely covered with mountains.
The mountains are rolling and the dense spruce is growing. The top of the mountain is a plateau landform inclined to the south, just like a floating grassland. The grass is lush, the flowers are in full bloom, and the hillside is gentle and boundless, just like a wonderful blue carpet, which has been laid at the foot of the snow-capped mountain, making people feel relaxed and happy. The main grassland is 3-6 kilometers wide from north to south and 40 kilometers long from east to west, covering an area of about 200 square kilometers. Here, the soil layer is deep, the soil is fertile, the temperature is suitable, the precipitation is abundant, the pasture grows well, and a large number of xerophytes are mixed.
High-quality forage grass 105 species, and the forage grass grows densely and low. Every year in mid-May, the grass begins to turn green; In summer, the grass is lush and the flowers are gorgeous; Yellow grass in September is a typical "five-flowered meadow" grassland. Most grasses are Gramineae, Leguminosae and Compositae, with high yield and good grass quality. In summer, the grassland height is 65- 100 cm, the whole grassland coverage rate is 90- 100%, and the grass yield per mu is about 700 kg, which is a rare and excellent summer pasture. The annual precipitation here is about 600 mm, and the annual average temperature is 3 degrees Celsius. Especially in summer, the climate is cool and there are few mosquitoes and flies.
Kuerdai River, a tributary of Kuokesu River, runs through the grassland from east to west, with 23 ditches and numerous springs, making it very convenient for people and animals to drink water. June-September is the golden season here every year, and about 200,000 livestock from Turks, Gong Liu and other counties move here to gain weight in summer. Gong Liu County Sheep Breeding Farm is also a summer resort for delicate sheep breeding. No wonder experts from FAO also made a special trip to visit here, praising it as a rare first-class natural grassland in the world.
Qiong Kushitai, Keshi Kushitai and Kurdai Canyon in Harqin Grassland are also famous scenic spots. The scenery here is beautiful and pleasant. If you visit here in midsummer, hospitable Kazakh herders will entertain guests with fat mutton and delicious horse milk. The combination of simple folk customs and grassland scenery makes tourists linger.
