Bathed in the early summer sunshine, Hefei Runzhi Ecological Park's 4,100 acres of cherries ushered in the fruiting season, from May 8, 11 varieties of about 600,000 pounds of cherries waiting for the public to go to the picking.

The cherry orchard is located on the north shore of Chaohu Lake in Xuguang Community, Xuguang Town, Feidong County, is the largest single cherry orchard in Southeast Asia. After years of careful cultivation there are 11 varieties of early big fruit, yanyang, Russia 8, Qin Cherry 1 and so on. Walking into the cherry orchard, you can only see bunches of red cherries between the green leaves, emitting a crystalline light, as if a red agate hanging on the branches, making people salivate. As far as the eye can see, the entire cherry orchard red and green, exceptionally good-looking.

"Our cherries year-round adhere to the use of farmyard fertilizer, scientific fruit thinning, effectively guarantee the quality of the cherry." Zhu Shiming, the owner of the orchard, said confidently, "The fruits from the branches are not only large, watery and sweet, but also delicious."

In order to let Hefei people eat local cherries, to create the gold standard of agricultural products in Feidong, and to lead the surrounding masses to get rich, since 2013, Zhu Shiming, who was born a farmer, has transferred 10,278 acres of land to set up the Hefei Runzhi Eco-agriculture Co. in Xiandao Town, and created an agricultural complex that combines food and beverage, recreation, lodging, leisure and tourism, aquaculture and planting, agricultural technology development, and agricultural product processing and sales as a whole. Agricultural complex - Hefei Runzhi Ecological Park, has been recognized as the provincial level of Anhui and Hefei City, leading enterprises in agricultural industrialization.

Cherry planting in the ecological garden area of 4100 acres, another 3,210 acres of rice shrimp poverty alleviation industrial park, 636 acres of aquaculture base. With the industrialized development mode of "leading enterprise + base + farmers" and "company + cooperative + base", it has led 415 poor households out of poverty successfully. Among them, 37 households have basically achieved well-off, cultivating rice shrimp farming professionals amounted to 107 people, driving the surrounding farmers more than 800 people employment, successfully realize the income. "Visitors come here not only to pick the freshest cherries, but also to eat local dishes, lobster fishing, fishing."
