Prepare tools
Before wiring, you need to prepare the following tools:
1. flashlight
2. Screwdriver
3. Insulating tape
4. Wire cutters
Wiring step
1. First, disconnect the power supply of the range hood to ensure safety.
2. Then, open the shell of the range hood with a screwdriver to find the motor and circuit board.
3. Carefully observe the logo on the motor with a flashlight, which generally indicates the power and voltage of the motor. Select the appropriate wire according to this information.
4. Strip the insulation layer at both ends of the wire with wire cutters to expose the metal wire.
5. Connect the wires correctly according to the signs on the motor. Generally speaking, the motor has three interfaces, namely L, N and GND. Where l stands for live wire, n stands for zero wire and GND stands for ground wire. It should be noted that the wiring positions of L and N cannot be reversed, otherwise the motor will not work normally or be damaged.
6. Wrap the wire connector with insulating tape to prevent leakage or short circuit.
7. After the wiring is completed, reinstall the hood shell, plug in the power supply, and test whether the motor works normally.
Matters needing attention
1. Before wiring, be sure to disconnect the power supply to ensure safety.
2. Wiring should be done correctly according to the logo on the motor, and the wiring positions of L and N should not be reversed.
3. After the wiring is completed, wrap the connector with insulating tape to prevent leakage or short circuit.
4. When testing whether the motor works normally, you need to pay attention to safety to avoid electric shock.
