Shicheng, yangshan, Shaoxing

Shicheng, yangshan is located in Qi Xian Town, the northern suburb of Shaoxing, and is also known as the four famous stone scenes in Shaoxing, together with Donghu Lake, Houshan Mountain and Ke Yan. It's a day, and I'm going alone to see the style.

the southern song dynasty's "Jia tai hui Ji zhi" recorded: "goat stone mountain, go to the county 36 miles, there are stones like sheep on the mountain, hence the name." Yangshanshi is a pyroclastic rock, which contains iron, is wear-resistant and turbidity-resistant, has strong compression resistance, good economy, and a large head. It can be used to cut large stones and ultra-long stone strips, and is suitable for building city walls, seawalls, river dikes, sluices, bridges and temple halls. It is the oldest and largest quarry in Guyue. Quarrying began in the period of Gou Jian in the Spring and Autumn Period, 2511 years ago. During the Emperor's reign of Sui Dynasty (581-611), Yang Su, the chief commander of the navy, was ordered to cross Qianjiang River to quell the rebellion of Yue state's powerful and intelligent people, and then he defended Yue state and was named Duke of Yue. Yang Su started to organize migrant workers to cut the stone of yangshan on a large scale, and expanded Luocheng in Yuezhou on the basis of Licheng (Luocheng is the outer city, which is equivalent to the old ring city of Shaoxing today). In the Tang, Song, Ming and Qing Dynasties, in the northern coastal plains of Shanyin and Huiji counties, Yangshan stone was mostly used to build seawalls, dikes, sluices, ponds, fiber roads, bridges and temple columns. Yangshan Stone is a famous high-quality stone in Vietnam, which has a wide application and a large amount of exploitation. It has become a major industry for residents in surrounding villages, and the stone has been sold as far as Fiona Fang Baili. By the late Qing Dynasty, the whole yangshan had become a stone mine site composed of numerous residual rocks and stones, and the stone industry was terminated, which was called Shicheng in history. After that, the water overflowed the spring, and the wind invaded the rain, so it became a scenic place. Yangshan, for the benefit of the people.

Due to endless excavation, the original mountain appearance of Yangshi Mountain has disappeared, and the so-called "Shiyang" with stones like sheep has also disappeared. At that time, the stone chisellers didn't think about the landscape, just for the need of quarrying, they chose the hard, complete and generous ones and discarded the crisp, oblique and thin ones. After thousands of years of natural weathering, peeling, perforation and collapse, the residual water in this area has been outlined as a strange scene of "towering cliffs, solitary peaks standing, rippling water in the pool and listing different stones"

Walking in Shicheng, yangshan, if I am the only one in the big scenic spot and the wind is coming slowly, I can only see dozens of peaks, hundreds of pools and thousands of walls surrounded by wonders. The stone scenery is dazzling and wonderful, which is amazing. Rock peaks are continuous and varied, such as Bijia Peak, Thumb Peak, Tortoise Peak, Jinping Peak, Tianzhu Peak and Guanyin Buddha. The peaks are vivid and fascinating. The stone steps under the peak are undulating and the path is winding; There are countless stone pools and ponds scattered all over the wall. Ponds and pools are connected with each other, with tinkling springs and gurgling water. One peak is tens of feet high, and there are small trees on the peak that stretch like the dream flowers of Huangshan Mountain. Yangshan Tianchi, located at the southwest peak of Shicheng, is full of water all year round, bottomless, and never dries up without rain for a hundred days, which is really amazing. There is another spring below Tianchi Lake, with clear water and very bitter taste. It is said that Lv Chunyang, one of the Eight Immortals, once came here to dig herbs and treat people. He drank this water and was called "Pure Yangquan" by later generations. There is another peak in the southwest, climbing up the stairs, overlooking from a height, with a panoramic view of the distant mountains near the water, which can be described as the "wonderful high platform" of Shicheng.

Shicheng, yangshan, has always been a place of interest in Vietnam. As witnessed from the cliff tablet and literature and history materials, during the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China, many literati and celebrities visited this place to express their feelings and feelings, leaving many inscriptions and poems. During the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, the Huiji Juren and the Imperial Envoy Zong Jichang visited yangshan, and they were deeply impressed by the landscape and water features of Yangshan Stone, so they left an article entitled "Inscription on the Mountain Wall of Yangshan Stone", which said, "It was carved by the Emperor and protected by Wu Su. Angry sheep are like dragons, and the wind and thunder shake the earth. Eliminate evil in one corner and moisten the bridge in three springs. Blessing the earth, the spiritual realm is made in heaven. " The scene of Shicheng is rough and soft. The TV series The Journey to the West, Daughter Red, etc. are all filmed here. At present, the local town government is planning to gradually develop yangshan Shicheng into a tourist and leisure resort with the characteristics of stone culture and water culture in the south of the Yangtze River. Now, a stone Buddha has been carved on the lower cliff, which is called "Hundred Buddha City".

yangshan stone Buddha is far away from Shicheng, not far apart. The stone Buddha is carved in a solitary rock. The craftsmen first carved a cave on the peak, and then left stones in the cave to carve it into a giant Buddha. The grottoes are three feet high and dozens of steps around, and their space just accommodates the whole body of the stone Buddha. The stone Buddha is about twenty feet high, with two hands on his knees, a round forehead and rich cheeks, a kind face and vivid charm.

yangshan enjoys a reputation for its beautiful scenery.

people now call Shaoxing plain scenery "Jianhu scenery". Gujian Lake, a famous water conservancy project and the earliest and largest artificial lake in the history of southeast China, was built by Ma Zhen, the governor of the Eastern Han Dynasty, in the fifth year of Shundi Yonghe (141). The completion of Gujian Lake marks a great leap forward in the development history of Shaoxing area, and finally creates more than 9,111 hectares of fertile land with good harvest due to drought and flood, laying a solid material foundation for Shaoxing to finally develop into a land of plenty. At the same time, the completion of the ancient Jianhu Lake also brought unexpected benefits, that is, it greatly beautified Shaoxing's natural environment and became a hot spot for ancient tourism with its unique landscape. Li Bai, Du Fu, Lu You, Bai Juyi, Yuan Zhen, He Zhizhang, Meng Haoran, Song Zhiwen, Xu Wei, etc. all left a large number of well-known poems about the lake here. Today's "Jianhu" has been roughly shaped since the Southern Song Dynasty, and Jianhu in a complete sense has already become a historical concept.

Up to now, Shaoxing's landscape development has already gone beyond the category of "scenery" to the level of "landscape culture". In the long-term practice, according to the demand and strength at that time, people use and transform the landscape to meet their own purposes, thus becoming an organic part of human culture. They not only exist for a long time, but also are interrelated, restricted and deeply infiltrated, thus compounding colorful landscape cultural phenomena.

Mr. Chen Qiaoyi said in his Introduction to the History of Water Conservancy in Shaoxing: "Shaoxing, a land of plenty of fertile land and rivers and lakes, is actually the product of water conservancy in the historical period."

yangshan also belongs to the ancient Jianhu Lake and Jianhu Lake, and I regard it as a microcosm of Shaoxing landscape culture.
