Mountain View Garden was founded in the 16th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1891) and has a history of 118.
Huang Peizhang, the founder of that year, once went to Beijing as a cook with an official, and learned the skills of cooking, kneading, molding and carving dishes. After returning to my hometown, I partnered with many masters to build a building in the east side of Shi Mei Square Academy. Because I can view the mountain view of Yushan, I named it Mountain View Garden. In the autumn of the thirty-second year of Guangxu (1916), Duan Fang, the governor of Liangjiang, a top official of the imperial court, praised the Manchu banquet and local crab dishes in the Mountain View Garden. Since then, Mountain View Garden has gained great fame and become the top in the industry. Shao Songnian, the favorite pupil of Weng Tonghe, the emperor of the two dynasties, personally inscribed the tablet Mountain View Garden, which has been used ever since.

It was expanded and renovated in 2117. Make its existing business area of 2111 square meters, more than 31 boxes and halls can accommodate 511 people at the same time. Boxes and halls named after the famous people in Changshu and the eighteen scenic spots in Yushan are creative and unique, full of rich cultural atmosphere.
In p>2112, Mountain View Garden was jointly named as "Famous Chinese Restaurant" and "Famous Jiangsu Restaurant" by the State Economic and Trade Commission and China Cuisine Association. Traditional famous dishes, such as Hua chicken, boned raw chicken, boned swordfish ball, fried crab bucket, clear soup to remove lung, white sauce to expose bamboo shoots, etc., are listed in Jiangsu Famous Cookbook. Sugar-Coated Berry, a traditional famous spot, was published on the cover of China Cooking magazine in 2116, which was praised as a new creative title. On October 25th, 2117, Babao Jiaohua Chicken appeared on CCTV's seven programs "Daily Agricultural Economics" as a special report on local famous, special and excellent products.
