New Century Senior High School is a public boarding high school invested and built by Qinhuangdao Municipal People's Government in March 2000. In 2003, it was identified as a model ordinary high school in Hebei Province.

The school covers an area of 153.40 mu with a total construction area of 54,632 square meters. There are 36 teaching classes ("Hongzhi Class" started in 2005), with more than 65,438 students and 0/92 faculty members.

The school has reasonable layout, advanced facilities and beautiful environment. There are three obvious areas, namely, teaching area (including teaching building, teachers' office building, laboratory building, library and lecture hall), living area (including boys' apartments, girls' apartments, dining center, boiler room and bathroom) and sports area (including 400-meter standard plastic playground, closed basketball and volleyball court and gymnasium). The school green coverage rate is 42%, and the road coverage rate is 25%. This is a modern garden school.

The school is equipped with computer network system, closed-circuit television system, broadcast communication system, multimedia online live broadcast system and book management system, and has established a cooperative relationship with Beijing No.4 Middle School in distance education.
