Saigon, Hong Kong

Located in the bay in the east of Kowloon Peninsula, it has beautiful scenery. Although it is remote, young people and families come in droves on weekends and holidays.

Saigon has been the center of business for nearby guests since hundreds of years ago. The narrow streets and roads are like a maze, which has preserved a strong past appearance.

Saigon, once a small fishing village, has become a hot spot for Hong Kong people to spend their holidays, which is very popular because of the migration of people living on the water due to the construction of the High Island Reservoir in the east of Saigon in the 1961s. Saigon street is small in scale. You can watch rows of fish shops like rickety aquariums in the market street on the coastline. There are huge colorful lobsters, crabs, shellfish and fish. You can also choose what you want to eat and bring it to the restaurant for a seafood dish. Recently, you can often see European and American guests drinking wine and eating seafood here. In addition, the number of modern restaurants and bars is increasing.

Most seafood restaurants in downtown Saigon gather near the pier, that is, the waterfront outside the bus terminal. My cousin said that every afternoon at about 3 pm, Sai Kung pier is full of seafood-selling restaurants. Although I didn't see the most representative seafood market in Hong Kong at night, I stopped at the pier with scattered restaurants. I can still vaguely feel this place where the fishing port of Hong Kong still exists. We walked along the seaside square to the "Seafood Street" next to the sea. It used to be a seafood vendor, but now it has developed into a large and small seafood restaurant. Although it is not a weekend, the restaurants are already crowded. Each restaurant has a considerable number of open-air seats, like super food stalls. The restaurants are small and the decoration is very ordinary, but they feel very cordial. They sit at the log table near the sea. ~ ~ ~ From a distance, the long seafood street is crowded with diners outside the restaurant, which is very lively. We went to a seafood restaurant frequented by my cousin. What's the name? I forgot the name. The five of us selected eight newly caught seafood in the fish tank at the entrance of the restaurant, and there are my favorites-lobster and spotted shrimp (God, that shrimp is at least twice as big as Shanghai! ), abalone, some shellfish and unknown marine fish, as well as fresh sea urchins that the boss just dived early that morning, directly served large sea urchin shells, scooped out sea urchins and dipped them in mustard to eat, ordered beer and white wine, and a table of fresh and delicious seafood, which actually cost more than 1,411 yuan! I'm really excited to find a good place! You know, the lobster in Shanghai costs more than 311 kilos, which is not so fresh. I always like to eat Hong Kong-style seafood, lobster with three meals, steamed abalone, and shrimp with salt and pepper ... all of them are delicious and tender, but the same fresh ingredients are not so delicious in Hainan Island and Zhoushan. My cousin said that many tourists who come to Hong Kong to eat seafood will only go to the "Lei Yue Men", but I didn't know that "Lei Yue Men" is a place for tourists. The same amount of seafood goes there at least twice as much. Saigon is a place where local people eat seafood. Unfortunately, the restaurant we ate didn't have lobster stings, but the lobster noodles we ordered were much more delicious than the "Caidiexuan" in Shanghai, with less butter, which completely preserved the delicacy of lobster. Even the noodles soaked in lobster juice were delicious! Yamii ~ ~ ~ Just as I was munching on lobster meat, I didn't know where the water spilled all over me. When I looked up, I was shocked. It was the water spilled by the big lobster in the water tank next to me. It squatted on the fish tank and stared at me while playing with its long beard. The beard almost touched my face, which scared me. I looked at it, and then at the lobster meat in my plate and a table of lobster shells. Dare not eat:)

Then my cousin took us to the "Man Ji Dessert" which is not far from the seafood street in Hong Kong. It is said to be the most famous dessert spot in Hong Kong, and there are branches all over Hong Kong, but my cousin said that the one in Saigon is the best. As expected, it was already 11 o'clock in the middle of the night, but it was still crowded, and the diners were all sitting outdoors. I looked at it and it was all local young people. However, there are many desserts that Xu Liushan doesn't have, such as durian pudding, his signature. I tasted durian in Thailand, and I didn't hate it or get addicted to it. My cousin said that you must try his dessert, which is said to be one of the best desserts in Hong Kong. I said yes, it doesn't matter, try it. I only suffered from my cousin's lady gf, who couldn't even smell the taste of durian. I had to put my hand over my nose and smile at our exaggerated appearance, because it was really-really delicious:) It was a durian pudding, but it was actually a green cake made of durian wrapped outside. The durian flavor was not heavy, and it had a unique durian fragrance. It was wrapped in white milk protein like fresh cream, so I must put it into my mouth together with the green durian cake outside. Wow, the milk flavor combined with the durian flavor, not sweet or greasy. This is really me.
