Dong Zhujun was born in a slum in Shanghai. /kloc-at the age of 0/2, she was forced to make a living and became a prostitute in a brothel. In a brothel, Dong Zhujun met revolutionary Xia Zhishi, fled the brothel, married Xia Zhishi, and came to Japan with Xia Zhishi. In Japan, Dong Zhujun is eager to learn knowledge and culture.
Four years later, she returned to Chengdu with Xia Zhishi. After Xia Zhishi became governor of Sichuan Province, she became the wife of the governor of Sichuan Province. However, Dong Zhujun, who just started a new life, was suffocated by the isolation and backwardness of her family, and finally divorced her husband Xia Zhishi, leaving Sichuan with her four daughters and coming to Shanghai.
